Introduction

改修型の対潜兵装です。
日本海軍装備の主力アクティブソナーを改良調整、対潜戦闘の戦訓を取り入れて改修した三式水中探信儀の改良型です。
日本海軍の駆逐艦を中心として、いくつかの艦でより高い運用性を発揮します。

This is an improved piece of anti-submarine equipment.
It is an upgraded version of the main active sonar used by the Imperial Japanese Navy. The Type 3 Active Sonar has been improved by incorporating lessons learned in combat.
It has increased performance on several ships, particularly on destroyers of the Imperial Japanese Navy.

Mechanics

Sonars are the main equipment used for ASW, being required to trigger most OASW, and greatly enhancing ASW Damage Synergy. Their main stat is "ASW" .

Armor Penetration
Indepentant of synergies, some equipment provides additional armor penetration to ASW attacks. The affected equipment are: DCR: Type 95 DC, Type 2 DC, Lightweight ASW Torpedo, Hedgehog, Type 2 DC K2 DCP: RUR-4A Weapon Alpha Kai, Mk.32 ASW Torpedo (Mk.2 Thrower).
