Introduction

紅茶の国で開発された対潜探知システム「ASDIC」。
その改良発展型です。
対潜探知技術の蓄積と144型と147型の複合装備により、敵潜探知精度をさらに向上させています。
敵潜の発する無線波を捉える「短波方向探知機」と組み合わせて運用することで、総合的な対潜作戦能力は大きく向上しました。

The anti-submarine detection system developed in the country of tea, "ASDIC".
This is an improved model.
By combining the anti-submarine detection technologies present in the Types 144 and 147, it is able to detect enemy submarines with more accuracy.
Operating in conjunction with a "Short Wave Direction Finder" that detects radio waves from enemy submarines, the all-round capability to detect enemy subs is greatly improved.

Mechanics

Sonars are the main equipment used for ASW, being required to trigger most OASW, and greatly enhancing ASW Damage Synergy. Their main stat is "ASW" .

Armor Penetration
Indepentant of synergies, some equipment provides additional armor penetration to ASW attacks. The affected equipment are: DCR: Type 95 DC, Type 2 DC, Lightweight ASW Torpedo, Hedgehog, Type 2 DC K2 DCP: RUR-4A Weapon Alpha Kai, Mk.32 ASW Torpedo (Mk.2 Thrower).
