Introduction

緒戦の空母機動部隊の打撃力の中核を担う「九九艦爆」。
やや設計の古い固定脚低速機ですが稼働率や信頼性は高く、特に高い練度を誇る江草隊長の率いる艦爆隊の急降下爆撃は、驚異的な命中率を誇ります。

The Type-99 dive bomber formed the backbone of strike groups of the Carrier Task Force at the beginning of hostilities. Despite being of old design with a slow speed and fixed landing gear, it was highly reliable, especially when used by the veteran Egusa Squadron renowned for its impressive dive bombing accuracy.

Mechanics

Dive Bombers are one of the main types of plane used by CV(B/L). Their main role is to do damages during the Airstrike, with their "Dive Bombing" Dive Bomber Attack stat being the most important factor in this regard. Dive Bombers are additionally needed for dealing damages during day Shelling, especially for Aircraft Carrier Cut-Ins (CVCI).

This plane has Anti-Air Resistance.

Notes

Any Improvement Improved the Type 99 Dive Bomber (Egusa Squadron) may have will carry over to the Suisei (Egusa Squadron) given by quest F14.

  • It is highly recommended to improve the Type 99 Dive Bomber (Egusa Squadron) to Max-Improved before proceeding with this quest as the Suisei (Egusa Squadron) cannot be improved afterwards.
