Introduction

九九式艦爆をベースに木製急降下爆撃機として空技廠で開発が スタートした試作木製練習爆撃機「明星」。
同機の重量過多や低い操縦性や信頼性の問題を解決すべく、改 設計と改修を進め、実戦投入可能となった「明星」 実戦投入型 が本機「明星改」です。
改装された航空母艦「瑞鳳」「龍鳳」などに本機の運用特性があります。

The "Myoujou" was a prototype wooden training bomber developed at the Air Technical Arsenal as a wooden dive bomber based on the Type 99 carrier bomber.
In order to solve the problems of the plane's excessive weight, poor maneuverability and reliability, the "Myoujou" was redesigned and modified, making it suitable for actual combat use; this is the "Myoujou Kai" combat version.
The operational characteristics of this plane are found on remodeled carriers such as "Zuihou" and "Ryuhou".

Mechanics

Dive Bomber Dive Bombers are one of the main types of plane used by CV(B/L). Their main role is to do damage during the Airstrike, with their "Dive Bombing" Dive Bomber Attack stat being the most important factor in this regard. Dive Bombers are additionally needed for dealing damage during day Shelling, especially for Aircraft Carrier Cut-Ins (CVCI).
