General Information

Her name is an archaic word for May, specifically the fifth month of Japan's Lunar Calendar, which is no longer in use.
She was launched on the 25th of March 1925.
Sunk in an air attack on the 21st of September 1944 at Manila Bay, Philippines (14°35′N 120°45′E).

She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
She got her Kai Ni on the 29th of February 2016.

Misc

Her Kai Ni upgrade is also a tie-in reference to her exploits during an air raid at Kavieng, New Ireland in 1944.
The sword which Satsuki Kai Ni shows in her damaged art is a reference to the sword that was given to her captain, Lieutenant Commander Iino Tadao, as a reward for his exploits during an air raid at Kavieng, New Ireland in 1944.
