General Information

She is named after Mount Takao in Kyoto, location of the Jingo-ji Temple.
She was launched on the 12th of May 1930.
Sunk as a target ship on the 19th of October 1946.

Update History

She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.

Misc

Survived World War II.
Originally Takao and Atago's names were reserved for two ships of the Amagi-class Battlecruisers; had the Washington Naval Treaty not been conceived, Takao and Atago would be sister ships of Akagi.
She appeared in the first Kancolle Drama CD, also dubbed One Nao show, along with other characters in a mini skit.
