Gameplay Notes
Seaplane Tenders (AV) notably utilize Recon/
Bomber/
seaplane Recons/Bombers/Fighters, as well as some Main Guns and
Minisub Midget Submarines, participating in most Combat stages, given the correct setup.
They can also be used for an Anti-Installation role, as they can carry most Anti-Ground Equipment.
Light Carriers (CVL) are weaker CV, with usually more permissive Routings. They are capable of attacking submarines.

Trivia
- General Information
- Her name translates to "Field Cultivated Over a Thousand Generations"; it is a phrase meaning "Lasting Prosperity".
- She was launched on the 19th of November 1936.
- Was sunk during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, on the 25th of October 1944.
- Update History
- She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
- She got her Kai Ni on the 24th of July 2013.
- Misc
- The "A" (甲) in her remodel refers to the Type A Kouhyouteki that she was designed to carry.
- The camo pattern of her 5th upgraded version clothes refers to the actual flight deck camouflage pattern used during Leyte Gulf battle, the same pattern was used on Zuikaku, Chitose and Zuihou.
- Chiyoda was the largest vessel of any nationality which is definitely known to have been sunk with all hands during World War II. She was also one of the few carriers sunk by surface forces in naval warfare's history.
- Both Chiyoda and Chitose kept their pre-conversion names instead of having them changed upon their conversions into CVL's at the request of their respective crew.
- Chiyoda, Chitose and Ryuuhou are all classified as Zuihou Class Aircraft Carriers on paper despite them all being a completely separate classes of ship entirely.
