A Nagato-class Kai Ni must be the flagship.
- Secretary for combined fleets.
- She must not be more than lightly damaged (小破).
The 2nd ship in the fleet must be FBB/BB/BBV.
- She must not be heavily damaged (大破).

There must be 6 or more surface ships in the fleet.
- There must be no submarine in 6-ship fleets. In 7-ship fleets, only 1 submarine is allowed.
- There must be no surface ship in the fleet sunk or evacuated via FCF
  during a sortie, making the remaining total < 6. Ships in the escort fleet are not counted.

In single fleet, Echelon needs to be selected.
In a combined fleet, Cruising Formation 2 needs to be selected.

Bug: The attack cannot trigger in CTF versus a single fleet.

Trivia

General Information

She is named after Mutsu Province, made out of modern-day Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate, and Aomori Prefectures.
She was launched on the 31st of May 1920.
She sunk due to an internal explosion on the 8th of June 1943.
The Battleship Mutsu Memorial Museum is located in Towa-cho.

Update History

She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
She got her Kai Ni on the 27th of May 2019.

Misc

Her lines about playing with fire are all double entendres about flirting with her.
She is compared to a snail and slug due to her horn-like headgear. Nagato's headgear is similar but more back-swept, probably sparing her from similar nicknames.
Most of the wreckage was salvaged between the mid-50's to 1970's.
She formerly had the lowest luck among all ships (before Taihou was added) as she sank without experiencing real battles, due to an explosion of her 3rd turret in the summer of 1943.
