Gameplay Notes
Battleships (BB) notably utilize Large Caliber Main Guns,
Recon Seaplane Recons, and
AP Shells, having heavy firepower
and armor
, but lacking torpedo & ASW stats. They:
- Are required to unlock the "Second Shelling Phase".
- Must be "Fast+" to be placed in the Escort of a Combined Fleet.
Aviation Battleships (BBV) are BB capable of using Bomber Seaplane Bombers and
Seaplane Fighters. They:
- Can participate in Aerial Combat,
- Have some ASW capacities.

And at almost the same time (6/5~6/1942), the Imperial Japanese Navy was defeated in the Battle of Midway and lost 4 regular aircraft carriers. Under this situation, a flight deck was put on Hyuuga instead of being repaired to her original state in order to compensate for the loss of aviation force.

- She is named after Hyuuga Province, modern-day Miyazaki Prefecture. Her name translates to "Towards the Sun".
- She was launched on the 27th of January 1917.
- Run aground in shallow waters on the 27th of July 1945, then raised and scrapped from the 2nd of July 1946 to the 4th of July 1947.
- Update History
- She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
- She got her Kai Ni on the 27th of March 2019.
- Misc
- Her name still lives on the existing JDS Hyuuga-class carriers in JMSDF along with Ise.
