Introduction
大戦時は旧式化したものの、特I型駆逐艦に採用された近代的駆逐艦用主砲の先駆けであるA型砲。
本兵装をテストベッドに砲身を延長更新、初速を高めたif拡張改装の試製兵装です。
対水上戦闘に主軸を置いた各種改良により、駆逐艦主砲としては最大級の火力を誇ります。
基本設計の限界はありますが対空戦闘も可能、次世代の12.7cm砲へ繋ぐ試製砲です。
Though obsolete at the outset of World War 2, the Type-A gun mounted on the Special Type I destroyers was the forerunner of modern destroyer guns.
Using the Type-A as a base, this is a what-if upgrade that extends the barrel length and increases muzzle velocity.
It is among the destroyer main guns with the highest firepower thanks to several upgrades that focus on increasing surface combat ability.
Though the basic design has limitations, it is capable of limited anti-air combat. This is the predecessor to the next generation of 12.7cm guns.
