In order to counter the threat of increased enemy air forces, concentrated deployment of multiple 25mm Triple Autocannon Mounts, this is a hedgehog-like anti-air machine gun weapon.
Although there is an increase in accuracy, the 25 mm machine guns can end up overheating quickly, but it does increase an individual ship's air-defense capability by concentrating firepower.

Mechanics

Anti-Aircraft Gun AA Guns are equippable in RE. They are mainly used to provide "Anti-Air", notably via their AA Anti-Air stat. They:

  • Are notably required in most AACI.
  • Trigger a tracer-fire effect during air combat.
  • Bring an accuracy bonus against PT boats.
