Gameplay Notes

Heavy Cruisers (CA) are relatively flexible, utilizing Medium Caliber Main Guns, Torpedoes, and Recon Seaplane Recons, and having strong firepower , torpedo , and "night attack power " stats, but no ASW.

Aviation Cruisers (CAV) are CA capable of using Bomber Seaplane Bombers and Seaplane Fighters. They:

Can participate in Aerial Combat,
Have some ASW capacities.

Light Carriers (CVL) are weaker CV, with usually more permissive Routings. They are capable of attacking submarines.

Special Mechanics

Can convert between Kai Ni and Kou Kai Ni remodels.

Becomes a CAV.

Kou Kai Ni

Becomes a CVL.
Unlike other CVL, she prioritize targeting surface ships over submarines (see ASW Shelling).
