Trivia

General Information

She is named after Mount Choukai.
She was launched on the 5th of April 1931.
Scuttled after gunfire/bomb damage in Battle off Samar, on the 25th October 1944.
Wreck located on the 30th of May 2019, by RV Petrel. She sits upright in 5,173 m (16,972 ft) of water at the edge of the Philippine Trench. Like sister ship Maya, she is in very good condition, with torpedo tubes intact, thereby disproving the supposed theory her torpedo tubes exploded.

Update History

She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
She got her Kai Ni on the 13th of March 2015.

Misc

She appeared in the first Kancolle Drama CD, also dubbed One Nao show, along with other characters in a mini skit.
