Introduction

十七試哨戒機として開発された本格的な陸上発進の対潜哨戒機「東海」。第九〇一航空隊の集中配備された本機は、悪化した戦局と失われた制空権の中、大きな犠牲を払いながらも、対潜哨戒による敵潜制圧に努めました。
A fully-fledged land-based anti-submarine patrol aircraft developed from the 17th experimental patrol aircraft, the "Toukai".
The 901st Air Group, which was exclusively equipped with these aircraft,
made many sacrifices conducting anti-submarine patrols to counteract enemy submarines amidst the deteriorating state of the war and loss of air superiority.
