↑ She was called this because the Fusou-class spent more time in the docks getting remodeled to fix defects than they did operational.

General Information

Named after Yamashiro Province, now the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture.
- Literally means mountain castle.
She was launched on the 3rd of November 1915.
Sunk during the night battle of the Battle of Surigao Strait, on the 25th of October 1944.
Wreck located on the 25th of November 2017 by RV Petrel. She rests upside down with her bow broken and folded back over the remainder of the hull.

Update History

She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
She got her Kai Ni on the 20th of November 2014, during the Fall 2014 Event.
- She was the first kanmusu to receive a remodel outside any game maintenance.
- She suffered a bugged release with issues such as not being able to re-equip her Searchlight without a refresh & her name showing up as なし under an opponent's fleet in PvP.
- It was possible to drop her at Kai Ni lv 1 (a bug interverted her ID for a drop pool).

Misc

Japan's first Super-Dreadnought class & the first class to be completely indigenous as opposed to the, at the time, Kongou-class battlecruisers.
Her Aviation Battleship remodel is based on a plan for the Fusou-class after the carrier losses after the Battle of Midway. However, these changes were instead executed on the Ise-class.
