- ↑ The Fusou-class were called "defective" because they prioritized offense at the expense of defense but their gun layout made bringing all that firepower to bear difficult.
- ↑ She was called this because the Fusou-class spent more time in the docks getting remodeled to fix defects than they did operational.
- ↑ Because "Fusou" sounds like "Fukou", meaning "bad luck/misfortune".
- ↑ She underwent two modernizations to correct defects in her design.
- ↑ This line is shared with expedition selection, resource collection, instant repair and development.
- ↑ She was sunk in a night battle engagement at the Battle of Surigao Strait.
- ↑ After taking fire from 7 Allied ships, she was set ablaze.
- ↑ This is in reference to Vice Admiral Nishimura's final orders "我魚雷ヲ受ク 各艦ハ前進シテ敵艦隊ヲ攻撃スベシ" which means "We have been hit by torpedoes. Remaining ships, you must continue advancing and attacking the enemy fleet".
