我が国の重巡洋艦用主砲20.3cm連装砲、その3号砲のif改良型です。
55口径の同重巡用主砲をさらに熟成、改良型の6m測距儀と射撃速度の向上、装弾構造の改良と誘爆防止、さらに水上電探との連携にも考慮した日本重巡のif後期型主砲兵装です。

This is an improved version of No.3 Japan's 20.3 cm main gun for heavy cruisers.
It is a "what if" version of the 55 caliber heavy cruiser main gun that has been further matured, with an improved 6 m rangefinder, an increased firing speed, an improved ammunition structure and explosion prevention, and further ameliorations given to cooperate with radars.

Mechanics
