Introduction

大型艦用パッシブソナー兵装です。 九三式水中聴音機の捕音機を増強した大型グレードアップバージョンで、大和型戦艦のバルバス・バウ付近にも装備されました。 専門の人員も配置して水面下の音を収集、敵潜などの早期発見に努めます。

A Passive SONAR system for large ships. An upgrade from the Type 93 Passive SONAR, with a larger sound collector, it was equipped on Yamato-class ships within their bulbous bow. The IJN had specialized personnel constantly listening on the machine, trying to quickly recognize any enemy submarines.

Armor Penetration
Indepentant of synergies, some equipment provides additional armor penetration to ASW attacks. The affected equipment are: DCR: Type 95 DC, Type 2 DC, Lightweight ASW Torpedo, Hedgehog, Type 2 DC K2 DCP: RUR-4A Weapon Alpha Kai, Mk.32 ASW Torpedo (Mk.2 Thrower).
