Introduction
This is an improved version of the mass-produced and widely deployed twin-engined Do 17 bomber developed by the Country of Science, the Do 217.
Its payload is greatly increased with the addition of high-powered engines.
It has been loaded with the world's first usable guided anti-ship rocket, a precursor to modern anti-ship missiles. You'll have great success in sorties with this.
(※the strength of the guided anti-ship rocket is reflected by the torpedo stat)
Mechanics
Land-Based Attackersbomber are the main type of bomber used on LBAS. Their most important stats are "torpedo" against regular ship, and "dive bombing" against Installations, as well as their "combat radius" .
- See Land-Based Air Squadron for more details
LBAS Special Bomber bonus: [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{Sp1} = 1.10 }[/math] against DD.
This plane has Anti-Air Resistance.

Trivia
- The Do 217 E-5 is an upgraded version of the Do 17. This variant saw combat from the middle to the end of the war, it was also a test bed for many experimental weapons which includes the Hs293 radio-guided glide bomb. The Hs293 is the first ever operational anti-ship missile. It was also used by the Germans to attack bridges during D-Day but was not effective. Although the service record of the Hs293 is poor due to the discovery that jammers can be used to counter them, these missiles are credited with damaging or sinking at least 25 ships from 1943-1945. The list of ships damaged or sunk by the Hs293 includes HMS Janus (sunk) and HMS Jervis (damaged) who are both in the game. The particular plane on the equipment card is from the Kampfgeschwader 100 particularly the II./KG 100 unit which were responsible for testing and using the Hs293.
