WG42 (Wurfgerät 42)

Introduction

かの国で開発された対地対艦攻撃用の艦載ロケットランチャー装備「WG42」です。
Uボートにも搭載され、実際に運用されました。命中精度には難がありますが、ごく浅い深度なら水面下から発射可能な、潜水艦発射対地ミサイルのご先祖様のような装備で、主に対地攻撃に有効です。

U-511 stock equipment. Winter 2015 Event E-3 Normal and Hard Mode clear reward. Spring 2015 Event E-2 Hard mode clearance reward.

• Grants a flat 75 firepower bonus against installation type enemies, in contrast to how Type 3 Shell behaves (2.5 firepower multiplier).
  • Subsequent WG42s will encounter diminishing returns (two WG42s on one ship will only confer a 110 FP bonus
  • This bonus is not affected by the firepower modifiers of the Type 3 shell
  • The WG 42 also confers a post-cap bonus against certain types of enemies, such as Supply Depot Princess
  • Unlike Type 3 Shell, there is an unique attack animation when a ship equipped with WG42 attacks the appropriate target.
• Akitsushima cannot equip it, despite seaplane tenders being listed as capable.
