Ryusei is an advanced "dive bombing torpedo bomber" that integrates naval attack and naval bombing.
Despite problems with its engine and weight, it was finally completed, boasting as a high-performance, cutting-edge, carrier-borne attack aircraft.
The 601 Air Group in training transitioned into this type of aircraft.
Well-maintained, this aircraft became the mainstay of the carrier attack group.

Mechanics

Torpedo Bombers/ are one of the main types of plane used by CV(B/L). Their main role is to do damage during the Airstrike, with their "Torpedo" stat being the most important factor in this regard. Torpedo Bombers are additionally needed for dealing damage during day Shelling, especially for Aircraft Carrier Cut-Ins (CVCI).

• They are vulnerable to shoot down during most Aerial Combat phases.
