Introduction

当時の日本陸軍の主力戦車、歩兵支援に主眼をおいた九七式中戦車、通称「チハ車」。
同戦車の対機甲戦闘力向上を図るべく、新開発の貫通力の高い新主砲を搭載した改良後期型、通称「チハ車改」と重武装の陸軍歩兵による諸兵科連合部隊です。
※単独で海上機動できませんが、接岸擱座揚陸能力を持つ二等輸送艦などに搭載することで、着上陸戦闘が可能です。

The Type 97 medium tank, commonly known as the "Chi-Ha", was the main tank of the IJA used primarily as infantry support.
This unit is a combined armed force of heavily armed infantry with a late-model "Chi-Ha Kai" that has been upgraded with a new gun with better penetration to improve its anti-armor capability.
※Though they cannot maneuver at sea without support, they can be loaded onto a 2nd class transport ship that has the ability to beach itself so they can perform amphibious landings.

Mechanics

Landing Forces behave similarly to other "Landing Equipment" against Installations. They:

• Are only used against Installations.
• Can only be equipped on "LST" type ships (a subcategory of LHA).
• Provide great damage boost against all installation types.
• Can be a component of a "nuke" setup.

Additionally, when attacking an installation, the attack animation makes the ship physically move across the screen like other Landing Equipment, as it is a "landing craft" itself.
