The Early Spring 2023 Event, also known under the title of Absolute Defense Line! "Ogasawara Regiment" Relief, started on the 1st of March 2023. It is a "Large Scale Event".

• The Main Operations consist of 3 maps, focused around Ogasawara Regiment on the Japanese mainland's shores.
  • E-3 was released on the 3rd of March.
• Extra Operations has been released on the 18th of March, and is focused around Iwo Jima.
  • E-6 was released on the 20th of March.

6 new ships has been introduced in this event:

• 2 LHA:
  • "Kumano Maru", an IJA carrier/LHA, that, among others, can carry Fighters, Dive Bombers, and Underway Replenishments.
  • "No.101 Transport Ship", a.k.a. "Momochi‎" or "101-chan", an IJN LST/LHA, that, among others, can carry Landing Forces.
• 2 DD are droppable across the event
• 1 DE is droppable on the EO,
• 1 CA is rewarded on E5.

New Mechanics

Airstrike Supported Battle

• LBAS can now equip Rotorcraft and Liaison Aircraft (since last update).
• There is a new node type: "Airstrike Supported Battle" nodes. On this node, the enemy fleet will consist of:
  • "Surface enemies" (4-5 SS so far), that are fought like in "Normal Battle" nodes,
  • Followed by "air support enemies" (1-2 CVL so far), bringing air support like in "Normal Combat" nodes, and that cannot be attacked, being visually behind the rest of the enemy fleet and with no visible HP.
  • It is advisable to use Vanguard Formation for Single and Strike Fleets and Cruising Formation 3 in Combined fleets.
• There is a new new equipment type: Landing Forces, only equipable on the new LHA: "No.101 Transport Ship".

It is possible to choose between using "normal only" or "normal and powerful" FF. Powerful FF have an additional cost of 6 Instant Constructions for each time they are deployed in a battle (the blowtorches won't be consumed unless a powerful FF appears).
