• She is named after the Tenryuu River.
• She was launched on the 11th of March 1918.
• Sunk by USS Albacore (SS-218) on the 18th of December of 1942, off Madang,New Guinea.

Update History

• She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
• She got her Kai Ni on the 12th of July 2018.

Misc

• Tenryuu Kindergarten: A common theme where Tenryuu and a destroyers' escort are regularly used in expeditions to optimize resource consumption. The official 4-Koma also shows Tenryuu being a good children (DD) caretaker.
