WG42 (Wurfgerät 42)

Introduction

かの国で開発された対地対艦攻撃用の艦載ロケットランチャー装備「WG42」です。
Uボートにも搭載され、実際に運用されました。命中精度には難がありますが、ごく浅い深度なら水面下から発射可能な、潜水艦発射対地ミサイルのご先祖様のような装備で、主に対地攻撃に有効です。

U-511 stock equipment. Winter 2015 Event E-3 Normal and Hard Mode clear reward. Spring 2015 Event E-2 Hard mode clearance reward.

Appears to grant a slight damage bonus against installation type enemies, both in daytime and night battle, similar to how Type 3 Shell behaves.
- The damage bonus is much lower than Type 3 Shell, however, which makes it pointless to equip WG42 on CAV or BBV. The bonus, however, will apply to night battle cut-in / double attack.
- Unlike Type 3 Shell, there is an unique attack animation when a ship equipped with WG42 attacks the appropriate target.
Akitsushima cannot equip it, despite seaplane tender being listed as capable.
