Introduction

戦艦などの大型艦の主砲から放たれる対空用特殊砲弾。
榴散弾の一種で、大量の子弾が爆散、敵を編隊ごと一網打尽に
殲滅することを狙って開発された三式焼霰弾の後期改良型で
す。対地ソフトスキン攻撃にも効果的、さらに戦訓を採り入
れ、大和型及び金剛型改二改装艦運用性の向上、さらに暴発対
策も施したif改良強化弾頭です。

A specialised anti-aircraft shell used with the main guns of battleships and other large vessels.
This shell is a late-model upgraded variant of the Type 3 Incendiary Cluster Shell, a type of shrapnel shell that was developed to annihilate the enemy in a single salvo of exploding submunitions.
It's effectiveness against soft-skinned ground targets has been improved. This what-if upgrade that incorporates lessons learned during the war has increased effectiveness on Yamato-class and Kongou-class Kai Ni.
It also has better countermeasures against spontaneous combustion.
