General Information

Her name means "black tide", and refers to the north-flowing ocean current on the west side of the North Pacific (the Kuroshio Current).
She was launched on the 25th of October 1938.
Sunk in action, on the 8th of May 1943.
- Encountered a minefield alongside Kagerou and Oyashio, with Kuroshio sinking almost immediately.

Update History

She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.
She got her Kai Ni on the 13th of June 2018.

Misc

Wreck was discovered by accident by Robert Ballard while searching for John F. Kennedy's PT-109 in May 2002.
