Introduction

陸軍で開発、運用されていたオートジャイロ「カ号観測機」。
現代の艦載ヘリコプターの先祖ともいえる、回転翼の艦載対潜哨戒機です。
全通甲板を持つ強襲揚陸艦や軽空母、航空甲板を持つ航空巡洋艦などで運用可能です。

The Kayaba Ka-1 observation auto-gyro was an Army project. This rotor aircraft is used for anti-submarine warfare quite similar to ship-borne helicopters of today. This aircraft can launch from landing crafts, light carriers, and aviation cruisers and battleships.

Notes

Unbuildable. Stock equipment of Akitsu Maru Kai. Ranking rewards for December 2013.

Offers high boost to ASW, but CVL still require another ASW plane to be able to attack SS.  Similarly Taigei can not use this to attack SS even with plane slots.  However, this does enable the ability to attack SS on BBV and CAV.
