Introduction

日本海軍最後の量産型駆逐艦である丁型駆逐艦用に開発された単装両用砲です。運用実績の豊富な八九式12.7cm連装高角砲を単装化、防盾付き艦載両用砲として再整備されました。本砲は、さらに発射速度などの向上を図ったその改良型です。松型駆逐艦を始め、一部の艦艇でより効果的な運用が可能です。

This is a dual-purpose single mount developed for use aboard the Japanese Navy’s latest mass-produced destroyer model: the Type D Destroyers. The successful Type 97 12.7cm twin dual-purpose mount was reintroduced into service as a shielded, single dual-purpose mount. Furthermore, the gun barrels incorporated planned improvements to the firing speed at high angles. Equipped aboard the first batch of Matsu class destroyers, it has the possibility to show effective use.
