Gameplay Notes

Standard Aircraft Carriers (CV) notably utilize Dive Bomber Dive Bombers, Torpedo Bomber Torpedo Bombers, Fighter Fighters, required to take part in both Aerial Combat and regular Combat, with their "plane slot" Aircraft stat being the most important. They:

  • Must equip Dive Bomber/Torpedo Bomber bombers to be able to carry any attack.
  • Cannot attack during Night Battle without the right equipment.

Armored Carriers (CVB) are CV with the exceptions of being able to launch planes even when being moderately damaged (中破).

General Information
  • Her name means "Great Phoenix".
  • She was launched on the 7th of April 1943.
  • Sunk by a single torpedo by USS Albacore during the Battle of the Philippine Sea, on the 19th of June 1944.
    • Her being sunk six hours after a single torpedo hit is considered really unlucky, all due to an inexperienced crew, serious design flaws, and poor damage control.
    • Has the lowest luck stat in the game.
