• She is named after the Nagara River.
• She was launched on the 25th of April 1922.
• She was sunk on the 7th of August 1944, torpedoed by submarine USS Croaker (SS-246) off Amakusa Islands, East China Sea 32°09′N 129°53′E.
• The Light Cruiser Nagara Memorial Museum is located at 牛深町 Ushibuka-cho, Kyushu.
