Her abyssal form is assumed to be the New Heavy Cruiser Princess.

General Information

Named after the city of Minneapolis.
She was launched on the 6th of September 1933.
She was scrapped in 1960.

Update History

She was added on the 23rd of March 2025 as Spring 2025 Event E-6 reward.

Misc

Survived World War II.
Her debut is in her Abyssal Form in the KanColle Operation Rei Go Stage Play.
She made her debut as a KanMusu in the Curry Kikan sequence as a fairy/chibi art in one of the posters.
The rope she totes on her base CG is likely a reference to when she towed a damaged Saratoga after she was torpedoed by I-26 in September 1942.
The netting/leaves on her turret and the logs fitted onto her on her base damaged CG are references to events that transpired after the Battle of Tassafaronga. During the battle, Minneapolis participated in the sinking of Takanami, while consequently getting hit by her torpedoes in the process. She was struck on her portside, with her bow collapsing and nearly torn off. Her crew jury-rigged a makeshift bow made from coconut logs/scrap and applied camouflage of nets and palm fronds at Tulagi before reaching Espiritu Santo for a more acceptable temporary bow, after which she departed to Pearl Harbor for proper repairs.
