General Information
- The "Akitsu" in her name means "Dragonfly". This is a reference to the ancient name of Japan "Akitsushima" (秋津洲).
- She was launched on the 24th September 1941.
- Sunk 15 November 1944 by the submarine Queenfish (SS-393).
Update History
- She was added on the 24th December 2013 as part of the LSC construction pool.
Misc
- Like Maruyu she was built for the Imperial Japanese Army instead of the Navy.
- Her monochrome look is based off her historical camouflage.
