• She was launched on the 25th of February 1933.
• Scrapped on the 31st of January 1947.

• First US Navy fleet carrier that was designed from the ground up as a carrier
• Had a unique deck arrangement wherein during carrier flight operations her funnels will turn 90 degrees to allow more deck space
• One of the original 7 interwar carriers of the US Navy. Ranger is also one of the 3 who survived the war including Saratoga and Enterprise.
• Survived World War II.
• In Kancolle live events, she has been known to be the part-timer/poster girl for all the KanColle x MELONBOOKS collaborations. She even earned the nickname of MELONBOOKS' "Permanent Part-Timer" from the Naval Base.
• She is shown to be "very fun" when alcohol is involved and has also helped in promoting Kancolle collabs involving special brews of beer and liquor (example: MITSUKOSHI).
