General Information

Her name literally means "Chrysanthemum Moon".
Her name is an archaic word for January, specifically the first month of Japan's Lunar Calendar, which is no longer in use.
She was launched on the 15th of May 1926.
Combat loss on the 5th of May 1942, at the Invasion of Tulagi (09°07′S 160°12′E). Beached wreckage is still hardly visible in the backwaters of Florida Island.
