- One of five starter kanmusu.

- Fubuki was part of the game's official launch when the game was released in April 23rd, 2013.
- Fubuki means blizzard or snowstorm.
- When introduced, the Fubuki-class were among the most powerful destroyers in the world.
- Some sources, due to design lineage, have the Ayanami-class (Type II) & Akatsuki-class (Type III) as a part of the Fubuki-class (Type I).
- Revolutionary design would influence other navies to build newer types.
- Sunk in the Battle of Cape Esperance on October 11th, 1942.
Behind the Design
Back in June 2016's Comtiq Magazine, an interview was conducted with Kantai Collection's producer Kensuke Tanaka, and artist Shizuma Yoshinori where they discussed about the work they did together back while producing the game. Tanaka mentions that when he first asked Yoshinori to produce a design for the Fubuki-class he came up with a design of a brown hair girl dressed in a rather revealing sailor uniform. Tanaka felt the design looked "too fast" to fit the Fubuki-class.
In turn, Tanaka would later turn to Shibafu to design the Type I and Type II Fubuki-class Destroyers while the remainder of the original design of the Fubuki-class that Yoshinori made would later be converted to make Shimakaze since the whole fast bunny motif she presented better fit her.
