- Winter 2015 Event reward for clearing E5
- Started to appear as a drop at E-2 Winter 2016 Event.
- There is some confusion about the Hard Mode Medal being required for her modernization. It is not, and the regular Blueprint will work.
- When you first obtain Amagi, she doens't have any planes equipped and her outfit doesn't seem combat-ready; this is derived from her history.
- When you remodel her, she gains an air wing, indicating her complete status as an aircraft carrier.
- Amagi's non-kai and kai form have an identical moderate damage portrait (other than her outfit).
- This is thought to represent when she capsized and fell to rest on the sea floor.
- The artist posted facts about Amagi on his twitter page, as he did with Unryuu.
- The plane capacity is the same as Unryuu, and even comes with the 3 named planes.
- The only difference from Unryuu is her last slot. Unryuu is equipped with Saiun but Amagi has a 12cm 30-tube Rocket Launcher.
- When you remodel Amagi, her outfit completely changes to look similar to the other Unryuu Class designs.
- This change is comparable to Ro-500, which caused many admirals confusion with the dramatic change in outfit.
- Also similar to Unryuu, Amagi's flight deck takes the shape of a shrine banner. However, Amagi's has a Shinto music bell, unlike Unryuu's, which gas a crosier as the handle. It is assumed in Amagi's non-kai form she keeps her Shinto music bell in the bag behind her.
Real Ship Trivia
- Departing from Unryuu's naming scheme set by Souryuu and Hiryuu, due to being be a modified version of them, Amagi and her following sisters utilized the defunct battlecruiser naming scheme (the names of mountains).
- Amagi was last used for the Amagi-class Battlecruisers, of which Akagi was a part of.
- To clarify, the Amagi-class Battlecruiser Amagi and the Unryuu-class Aircraft Carrier Amagi are thoroughly different ships.
- Amagi was last used for the Amagi-class Battlecruisers, of which Akagi was a part of.
- Although she was commissioned in 1944, she never possessed an air wing due to losses during the war, and as such, never traveled far from a port.
- The 601 Air Group were slated to be her air wing, were it not for their deployment in the Battle of Iwo Jima
- She was permanently moored at an island in Kure Harbor & extensively camouflaged on April 13th, 1945 after light damage sustained from Task Force 58.
- Beginning on July 24th, 1945 and supplemented on July 28th, Task Force 38 attacked her. Her damage was not repaired and she capsized at her moorings.
- Amagi was the last Aircraft Carrier to be in the 1st Carrier Fleet. She was the first one introduced in the game to be proud of being part of the New 1st Carrier Fleet.
