She was sunk near Panay Island. The last bit is a pun - "Panay" sounds a bit like "panee", slightly dated slang for "awesome".

- Sunk 26 October 1944 bombed by USN aircraft SW of Masbate, Sibuyan Sea 11°45′N 123°11′E
- Though the origin of her name is a proper noun of river, 鬼怒 literally means "angry goblin", and this accounts for her unique pose and character.
- As of the the November 4th update, Kinu has earned her second remodel, which allows her to equip Daihatsu, has a unique AACI set up and comes with an automatic 5% resource gain from expeditions, the 5% gain acts as if Kinu is a Daihatsu itself and if included with other Daihatsu, will not exceed 20%.
