Trivia
- Named after an old province of Japan, Hyuuga. It literally means "Towards the Sun".
- Run aground in shallow waters at July 27 1945 raised and scrapped July 2 1946 - July 4 1947
- In the official KanColle 4-koma manga 'Fubuki Ganbarimasu!' (Go for it, Fubuki!), Hyuuga has a fairly serious personality and is constantly chasing after her elder sister, Ise, who is always trying to find ways to ignore her duties so she can go and play.
- Her name still lives on the existing JDS Hyuuga-class carriers in JMSDF along with Ise.
- She is required for quest A18 an option for A43.

- ↑ In a maneuver on 5/5/1942, the 5th turret of Hyuuga exploded and required repairs. And at almost the same time (6/5~6/1942), the Imperial Japanese Navy was defeated in Battle of Midway and lost 4 regular aircraft carriers. Under this situation, a flight deck was put on Hyuuga instead of being repaired to her original state in order to compensate for the loss of aviation force.
