Foreign Plane Bonuses have returned and should be examined when planning equipment setups. The following bonuses are applied:

Ships using planes get bonuses based on the different categories of bonuses ɑ/β/γ, A, and B.
- The ɑ/β/γ groups are the general foreign plane bonuses, being divided into three "levels" (γ>β>ɑ) and being both map-wide and node-specific,
- Group A are French and British bonuses divided into three sub-categories:
  - A1 are French seaplanes,
  - A2 are British seaplanes,
  - A3 are Swordfish.
- B# bonuses are primarily for LBAS (with ship-based & land-based planes), with the ship-based planes also providing the same bonuses to ships, and being divided into two "levels" (B2>B1)
  - Heavy Bombers also have similar bonuses

Notes

These bonuses work for all ships and for all attack types, including: LBAS, jet assault, airstrikes, air/surface shelling, and night attacks.
Bonuses from a same line or column do not stack.
Map-wide bonuses and node-specific bonuses always stack.
Bonuses still work for planes equipped in 0-slot for ships.
Bonuses do not work on 0-slot for LBAS.

- On the 2024-07-31 update, the FR-1 Fireball/SB2C-5 bug has been fixed and other bonuses have been added.
- On the 2024-08-08 update, the new USN bonuses have been added on release.

Tips

Carriers:
1. Try to equip one plane from each column and row
2. For example: ɑ/A3 + β/B1 + γ/B2
- This also applies to ships that carry multiple plane types in normal setups.
Other Ship Types:
- As only one seaplane is generally equipped on a ship, pick γ>β>ɑ and then the highest bonus among groups A or/and B depending on the node.

For Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3 bonuses, having one equipment from the group is enough to have the bonus.
- Equipping a second gear from the same group will not provide any additional bonus.
- The bonus groups stack with each other.
Do not confuse the balloon mechanic fleet-wide buff with this event bonus that only buffs the individual ship equipped with it.

Map Overview

E2 is a single and combined fleet three-phase map, consisting of one transport and two boss phases.

2 LBAS are available to sortie on this map
- Initially, no LBAS is available,
- After Phase 1, both can be set on Sortie.

This map uses 2 locks:
- Home Fleet, Starting point 1 (reused from E-1)
- Force H, Starting point 2

Barrage Balloons can be deployed on installation nodes M U.

Phase 1 - TP

Phase 1 is a "Transport Operation":

Single Fleet: 1 XX, 1 CL, 4-5 DD

LoS check: Cn2 >= 30
Bringing ASW and AACI is recomanded.
The "XX" is any ship already locked from E-1.
Boss Support Expedition is recommended to guarantee an A rank at the boss for TP Depletion.

The node contains several installations and PT boats.

Anti-PT boat

Unlike most standard Abyssals, "PT boats" ( & ) are "very small and fast".

All ship types suffer a severe accuracy and firepower penalty against PT boats.
Attacking them with larger guns is not very effective, smaller guns being recommended instead.
Support Expeditions are not affect by any of the following^[1].

Amagiri Kai Ni/D
has the ability to prioritize focusing on attacking PT imps with significantly increased accuracy if any are present.

DD placed in the composition slots above and below her will gain a noticeable accuracy boost and will prioritize attacking PT boats if any are present.
The PT boat targeting rate is 100% for all affected ships ^[9].

During Events, some special bonuses may be added, with "historical" ships and equipment gaining some accuracy bonuses^[10].

Notes

It is recommended to use anti-PT setups on DDs only, such setups compromising overall combat effectiveness.
Having a Reinforcement Expansion is important because it can save a ship slot by containing a machine gun or skilled lookouts.
Combining equipment is recommended to see significant boosts to accuracy.
The Ka-Tsu Tanks
bonus does not stack with the Armed Boats
ones.
Using other setups improving accuracy is also advisable:
- Hidden accuracy bonus setups,
- Sparkled ships.

Node C is Gibraltar
Node A, A1, and A2 are in the Atlantic. These could represent the possible threats to ships going through the Straits of Gibraltar which includes patrols, submarines, and air raids.

Node E is at the Tip of Morrocco just past the Strait of Gibraltar

Node G, Node I, and Node J are in the area of the Alboran Sea. The submarine nodes could be a reference to the Vichy French Submarine force that sortied to engage Royal Navy Forces including HMS Hood. These engagements were on the area of Alboran Sea and around the Alboran Island.

Node M is in Nador, this location could be Port of Nador.

Node U is the area of Oran and Mers El Kebir. This was the site of the Battle of Mers El Kebir where the Royal Navy Force H engaged the Vichy French Force de Raid moored in the port. The Abyssals are possibly a representation of the French Fleet.

Node W is a possible representation of an Abyssal Force H. This could also represent the closing engagements wherein the French tried to engage the Royal Navy fleet.

The Airbase is probably RAF Gibraltar but is also visually located at Moron Airfield, which is in Spain and is still in use. Moron Airbase is under NATO and is home to a US Air Force detachment as well as a Spanish Eurofighter Typhoon Squadron. The use of Moron Air Base could fit considering KanColle is set in modern times.
