Fast battleship is an informal term for defining battleships with extra speed. There is no separate hull classification for "fast" or "slow" battleships, all battleships are classified as BB. Historically, most ww2-era battleships could be counted as "fast" battleships, however the game uses its own currently still unknown distinction between fast and slow battleships. A fast battleship, or sometimes incorrectly referred to as a battle-cruiser, is expected to be on par with battleships in terms of combat ability and armor while having the advantage of fast speed. Currently the only difference known for sure in game is that fast BB are treated differently for maps with branching rules. Unconfirmed rumors and speculations that equipping any oversized (41, 46 CM cannons) on fast BB reduces accuracy.

• All Kongou-class ships begin with three equipment slots, and increases to 4 slots after remodel.  All other battleships have four slots regardless.
• Kirishima Kai Ni comes with an uncraftable Searchlight.
• All default equipments of Bismarck are uncraftable.
• Bismarck Zwei has the second highest amount of HP in game, second to Musashi with a difference of 1. Remodel of Bismarck from Kai to Zwei requires 1 remodel blueprint . 
• Bismarck Drei can equip torpedo and launch ending torpedo attack.
