Seaplane Carriers, or Seaplane Tenders are ships that provides facilities for operating seaplanes. Seaplane Carriers (AVG) can only carry certain carrier-based aircrafts. Akitsu maru Kai is currently the only seaplane carrier in game. Seaplane Tenders (AV) can only launch seaplanes. 

• Akitsu maru has the lowest ammo consumption among all carriers.
• Akitsu maru originally as amphibious assault ship (LHA) has plane count 0.
• Akitsu maru come with a Daihatsu-class Landing Craft as her default equipment.
• Akitsu maru Kai come with an uncraftable Type 3 Spotter/Liaison (ASW) and Ka-type Observation Autogyro.
• Chitose-class seaplane tenders come with a Zuiun as default equipment at their level 10 remodel.
• Chitose-class seaplane tenders come with two Type A Ko-hyoteki as default equipment at their level 12 remodel.
• Seaplane Tenders can equip depth charge to boost their ASW, they are however unable to attack submarines unless equipped with a seaplane bomber. They are also able to equip Type A Ko-hyoteki to launch a preemptive torpedo strike.
• Chitose-class seaplane tenders can be remodelled into light aircraft carrier at level 15, losing all speciality of seaplane tenders.
