List of Seaplane Carriers by upgraded maximum stats

Seaplane Carriers, or Seaplane Tenders are ships that provides facilities for operating seaplanes. Seaplane Tenders (AV) can only launch seaplanes. 

• Green : Outstanding
• Yellow : Above average
• Chitose-class seaplane tenders come with a Zuiun as default equipment at their level 10 remodel.
• Chitose-class seaplane tenders come with two Type A Ko-hyoteki as default equipment at their level 12 remodel.
• Seaplane Tenders can equip depth charges to boost their ASW. They are, however, unable to attack submarines unless equipped with a seaplane bomber.
• Chitose-class seaplane tenders can be equipped with one or more Type A Ko-hyoteki midget subs to launch a pre-emptive torpedo strike. They can also do artillery spotting if equipped with main guns and seaplane.
• Chitose-class seaplane tenders can be remodelled into light aircraft carriers at level 15, losing all the specialities of seaplane tenders, but in turn, gaining all the specialties of light aircraft carriers. You can find the stats of their CVL class at this page to aid in your decision.
• Remember (important) that AV has expedition No.36 which required both of Chitose sisters. Since expedition 36 is needed to unlock expedition 37, 38, and 39, and such expedition (37 and 38) has a very high resources drop per hour so you will want to keep them until you have clear expedition 36.

Above all there is some good point to remember about AVs ability:

• There second remodel ( at lvl 12) made them the only warship that can participate in all 6 battle phrases ( Aerial combat, opening torpedo salvo, shelling 1st and 2nd round (with BB in the field), ending torpedo salvo and night combat).
• They can easy win the air supermacy at node that doesn't have enemy carier and the resources for replacing seaplane are very low.
• They can one shot most enemy weaker ship (DD, some CL) at opening torpedo salvo, help your damage dealer ships (BB or CV) to point their gun at enemy attacker.
• They are the very first class that can equip the Type A Ko-hyoteki and do an opening torpedo salvo.
• They can take down SS with the right equipment but the effect is low, however the ability to equip depth charge make their ASW stat a little higher than their CVL remodeled.
• Like above they are required for expedition 36.
• They can use their main gun, lauch seaplane at aerial combat to attack enemy even in moderately damaged (orange text),
