Notable remarks:

• Akagi is rewarded when you complete B10. See Quests.
• Kaga has the highest plane count.
• Souryuu and Hiryuu are resource efficient.
• Zuikaku and Shoukaku are well-rounded CVs. 
• Taihou has the highest armor and shelling damage, but low evasion and the highest CV repair costs. Unlike other CVs, she can launch planes at 中破 (moderate damage).
