- She is the first American-based Kanmusu to be introduced into the KanColle franchise.
- Her debut introduction occurred in KanColle Kai, and she will eventually appear in the browser version by the Spring Event.
- To obtain her in KanColle Kai, you have complete the game on Hard difficulty and she will be your last reward which will be carried over into new game+.
- She's also the first Kanmusu in which her ship she is based upon is both a survivor from WWII and still exists to this present day.

- Her name came originates from the U.S. State of Iowa
- Struck on March 17, 2006
- Became the last lead ship of all battleships in the US Navy during WWII.
