The Food Collection Mini-Event is a mini-event that began on the 15th of May 2018 and ended on the 13th of June 2018. This event has been used as a filler event as there was no Spring 2018 Event, the KanColle Dev Team working on implementing Phase 2. This event involves collecting Rice, Umeboshi, Nori, and Tea to make various meal sets, a bit like what has been done in the Naval District Saury Festival.
This mini-event can also double as a tie-in collaboration with the Mitsukoshi 5th Anniversary Event which is also selling Kancolle themed Onigiri and Umeboshi.
How to Obtain
In this mini-event, 4 items can be collected across all the normal maps. These items consist of the following:
- Rice
- Umeboshi
- Nori
- Tea
These items can be cooked to complete quests and to be exchanged with various resources over the duration of the mini-event.
Those items are dropped on various map locations, on S ranks, or sometimes A ranks. Each node has its specific drop rate, which can be further improved by using:
- CL, CT, or AV as flagship,
- DD and DE in the escort positions (2 to 6 in the composition),
- Skilled Lookouts, Searchlights, and Rations on the fleet.
It is possible to Overfarm the items, resulting in the items dropping less.
- If they begin to drop less frequently, please go to another world to collect them.
Food Drop Locations
All food drop locations are on the boss nodes, unless otherwise stated. Drop locations include all limited-time drop locations and the final limited-time drop update as of the 9th of June.

Tips
- When using Battle Rations plan carefully what map to use them on. It is recommended to use them on maps where the fleet will only travel 2 regular nodes before reaching the boss node (e.g. 1-4, 2-2, 2-3, 2-5, 3-2, 4-2, 5-4).
- Using them on maps with 3 nodes before the boss will risk having the ration be consumed
- Since rice is an item bound to be collected in very large amounts, it is possible to reach 99 of them over this mini-event, resulting in reaching its hard cap, and thus, making it impossible to gather more untitled some is consumed.
- Consider cooking some rice into Onigiri to not waste any potential rice collecting.
- Always remember to cook all collected food before the end of the mini-event, as they will disappear once the event ends.
- Houshou Dinner Tickets will last for some time before they expire following the event. So weigh options before choosing any item.
