'''Stats''' are the numeric values that represent the kanmusu's overall strength and weaknesses which represent thier overall performance in battle. Most of the stats introduced in the game are set with the exception of a few which can be upgraded through [[Modernization]] or leveling. Every Kanmusu has a set amount maximum cap on thier Firepower, Torpedo Power, Anti-Air, Armor, and Luck, however stats such as LoS, Evasion, and ASW increase as the kanmsu gains levels.

All ship girl has stats that are shown through their display which can be viewed in the [[Composition]], [[Remodel (Menu)|Remodel]], or Repair menus. These stats as the previous mention cover all the factors which influence their overall performance in sorties in general. The following stats shown are as follows:

*'''HP''' - The Health of the Kanmusu. This shows how many Hit Points a Kanmusu has and how many she has left remaining. If a Kanmusu takes damage, she will lose some HP, and if her HP hits zero, she sink in battle and will no longer be available to use (unless you collect another one)
+
===Common Stats===
*'''Firepower''' - The amount of damage strength a Kanmusu can perform while performing shelling attacks. This can be influenced by the type of gun based equipment a kanmusu uses as well as dive bomber damage. It caps at 150 during the daytime but exceeds over that during night battle segments. The higher the firepower, the stronger the shelling damage.
+
<tabber>
*'''Armor'''- The amount of protection a kanmusu has from shelling and torpedo attacks which are determined based on if the hit connects. The higher the armor, the more likely they'll take less damage in battle.
+
|-|Firepower=
*'''Torpedo'''- The amount of damage strength a Kanmusu can perform from a torpedo based attack. This is influenced by factors such as torpedo salvos and torpedo bombers. The higher the torpedo, the stronger the torpedo damage.
+
'''Firepower''' {{Firepower}} determines the ship girl's effectiveness during [[Combat#Shelling|shelling]] and contributes to her effectiveness in [[Combat#Night_Battle|night battle]].
*'''Evasion'''- The likelihood in which a kanmusu can evade an incoming attack. The higher the evasion, the more likely the kanmusu will dodge an attack.

*'''Anti-Air'''- The amount of Anti-Air Strength a Kanmusu can perform in battle which can eliminate enemy planes in battle. This is mainly triggered by arming a kanmusu with an Anti-Air based gun. The higher the anti-air, the more likely the kanmusu will take down additional planes.

*'''Plane Capacity'''- The number of planes a kanmusu can hold which depending on the types of planes uses can allow you to perform various tasks. The more planes the more likely you can perform better damage or anti-air.

*'''Anti-Sub Warfare (ASW)'''- Determines how strong a kanmusu is when fighting an enemy submarine unit and how much damage they'll deliver. The higher the ASW, the stronger the damage against submarines.

*'''Speed'''- Determines the Speed a ship goes which has an impact on the fleet's performance as well as possible pathing. Most ships can go either '''Slow''' or '''Fast''' but with additional gear, it's possible to influence to speed to increase further in some cases to '''Fast+''' or '''Fastest'''. For more on Speed influencing from engine parts please view [[Improving Ship Speed]]

*'''Line of Sight'''- Determines how well a Kanmusu can detect enemy fleets during reconnaissance and also influences branching during Los checking segments. For more information check [[Line of Sight]]

*'''Range''' - Determines how far a Kanmusu's attack can go when conducting an attack. This decides the order when a fleet can fire during a battle. The Longer the range, the earlier they'll go in battle depending on the order.

*'''Luck'''- Determines various decisive factors such as the likelihood someone can perform a cut-in during night battles, enhancing the performance of evasion, and improving the accuracy of an attack. The higher the luck, the more influence these factors will have on your ship.

*'''Experience Bar'''- Determines how much experience a kanmusu has gained and how close they are to gaining another level.

*'''Accuracy'''- A '''hidden stat''', which determines the likely hood in which a kanmusu can perform more accurate damage. The higher the accuracy, the more likely they'll score critical hits.

==Stat Conditions==
+
* See [[Damage_Calculations#Damage_Formula|Damage Calculations]] for how firepower plays into damage.
Kanmusu sometimes display indications in which you can be notified about the condition your ship is in when they are participating in a sortie or other factors. Most of these conditions are a good way of being able to know the condition in which your kanmusu is in, or is current battle or following a sortie:
+
* It can be increased through [[Modernization]] and leveling.
 +
** The maximum firepower has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
 +
* Firepower can be increased further using equipment.
 +
* It is combined with [[Stats#Torpedo|torpedo]] when calculating night battle power.

*[[File:Light damage.png|left]] '''Minor Damage'''- Condition occurs when the Kanmusu has lost 25% of her HP. Other than saying a line in which she indicates she took some damage, her overall performance is not affected.
+
|-|Armor=
<br>
+
'''Armor''' {{Armor}} determines how resilient a ship girl is to attacks.
*[[File:moderate damage.png|left]]'''Moderate Damage''' -  Condition occurs when the Kanmusu has lost 50% of her HP. Kanmusu will have a change to her CG which will be displayed showing that her clothes have been torn and will only perform damage at half of her strength. Those who can perform torpedo salvos at the end of a sortie will be unable to and those who can launch planes during shelling will be unable to attack with planes if moderately damaged.

<br>

*[[File:Major damage.png|left]]'''Major Damage''' -  Condition occurs when the Kanmusu has lost 75% of her HP. Kanmusu will have a change to her CG which will be displayed showing that her clothes have been torn (if she hasn't been moderately damaged already) and will only be drasticlly reduced in her damage performance.  Those who can perform torpedo salvos at the end of a sortie will be unable to and those who can launch planes during shelling will be unable to attack with planes if moderately damage. In addition, if they were hit during this node, they will be protected from taking damage down to 0 and can proceed to night battle.

But as a word of warning, '''a kanmusu that is heavily damaged will become at risk of sinking if she has to advance to the next node to partake in another battle.''' The wisest decision in most cases will be to retreat from the sortie to repair your kanmusu.
+
* See [[Damage_Calculations#Defense_Power|Defense Power]] on how armor plays into reducing damage.
<br>
+
* It can be increased through [[Modernization]] and leveling.
*[[File:Sunk.png|left]]'''Sunk''' - When a Kanmusu looses all of her HP. She will then sink and say her dying line as she disappears, her display will be greyed out and she will no longer be able to partake in battle. Your kanmusu will be permanently lost as well as all equipment she had with her. It is possible to recover the kanmusu in a drop (if she's avaliable) but otherwise all equipment the previous one had will be lost permanently.
+
** The maximum armor has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
<br>
+
* Armour can be increased further using equipment.
*[[File:Evacuated.png|left]] '''Evacuated'''- A special condition that occurs only during [[Combined fleet]]s where a ship is pulled out from s combined fleet and is forced to retreat through the use of a [[Fleet Command Facility]], the icon is kanmusu's icon is grey out and left with grey text to indicate she has been evacuated back to your main base, she'll remain unusable for the remainder of the sortie till the rest of your fleet returns to Home Port.
+
* High enough armour can reduce damage taken to [[Damage_Calculations#Chip_Damage|chip damage]].
<br>

*[[File:Fatigue.png|left]] '''[[Morale and Fatigue|Fatigue]]''' - Ships with this icon indicate that they are suffering from low morale which will result in a slight reduction in their battle performance. The most recommended remedy to this is to let to kanmusu take a brake for several minutes (15 minutes roughly) to recover moral so she can return to normal.

<br>

*[[File:Heavy Fatigue.png|left]] '''[[Morale and Fatigue|Heavy Fatigue]]''' - Ships with this icon indicate that they are suffering from very low moral which will result in a drastic reduction in their battle performance. The most recommended remedy to this is to let to kanmusu take a brake fora while (30 minutes roughly) to recover moral so she can return to normal.

<br>

*[[File:Expedition notifier.png|left]] '''[[Expeditions|Expedition]]''' - Kanmusu with this label are part of an expedition fleet that is currently conducting an expedition. Fleets sent on expedition are unable to be removed from the fleet nor can their equipment be removed and will remain with this label until the fleet has returned from the expedition.

<br>

*[[File:Repair notification.png|left]] '''[[Docking|Repair]]''' - Fleets that are labeled in this are currently being repaired in the [[Docking]] area. You can safely remove them from the fleet, but cannot have their equipment removed and will not be usable until they have finished their repairs.

 +
|-|Torpedo=
 +
'''Torpedo''' {{Torpedo}} determines the strength of a ship girl's torpedo attacks and contributes to her effectiveness in [[Combat#Night_Battle|night battle]].

 +
* See [[Damage_Calculations#Torpedo_Attacks|Damage Calculations]] on how torpedo plays into damage.
 +
* It can be increased through [[Modernization]] and leveling.
 +
** The maximum torpedo has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
 +
* Torpedo can be increased further using equipment.
 +
* Torpedo '''is ignored''' when attacking installation-type enemies.
 +
 +
|-|Evasion=
 +
'''Evasion''' {{Evasion}} determines how likely a ship girl is to evade an attack.
 +
 +
* See [[Evasion]] for details on how evasion is calculated.
 +
* It can only be increased through leveling.
 +
** Evasion has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining evasion as she levels according to her specific evasion growth rate.
 +
* Evasion can be increased further using equipment.
 +
* Due to the way evasion is soft-capped, it is mostly ineffective as a defensive stat.
 +
 +
|-|Anti-Air=
 +
'''Anti-Air''' (AA) {{AA}} contributes to how effective a ship girl will be at shooting down planes during the [[Aerial_Combat#Fleet_Air_Defense|air defense phase]].
 +
 +
* See [[Anti-Air Fire]] on how AA plays into plane shootdown.
 +
* It can be increased through [[Modernization]] and leveling.
 +
** The maximum AA has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
 +
* AA can be increased further using equipment.
 +
* Due to the way the formula works, equipment AA and [[AACI]] count for a lot more towards shoot downs.
 +
 +
AA behaves differently for [[#Plane stats|planes]], being often referred to as "Fighter Power".
 +
 +
|-|Anti-Sub Warfare=
 +
Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) {{ASW}} determines the ship girl's effectiveness against submarines.
 +
 +
* See [[ASW]] for how it plays into ASW attacks.
 +
* It can be increased through [[Modernization#ASW_Modernisation|special Modernization]] and leveling.
 +
** ASW has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining ASW as she levels according to her specific ASW growth rate.
 +
* Due to the way ASW attack is weighted towards equipment ASW, the ASW of the ship only matters when it comes to achieving [[Opening Anti-Submarine Warfare]] (OASW) thresholds.
 +
 +
|-|Line of Sight=
 +
'''[[Line of Sight]]''' (LoS) {{LOS}} describes how well a ship girl can find targets. It plays a role in [[LoS|routing requirements]], [[Detection]], [[Contact]], [[Artillery Spotting#Trigger Rate|Artillery Spotting]], and [[LBAS#Defense Fighter-Power|LBAS Defense Fighter-Power]].
 +
 +
* It can only be increased through leveling.
 +
** LoS has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining LoS as she levels according to her specific LoS growth rate.
 +
* LoS can be increased further using equipment.
 +
* Due to how equipment LoS is weighted for spotting trigger rate and routing, equipment LoS is much more important than ship girl LoS.
 +
 +
|-|Range=
 +
'''[[Range]]''' {{Range}} determines a ship girl's [[Shooting Order]] during the [[Combat/Day Battle#First Shelling Phase|first shelling phase]] and [[OASW]].
 +
 +
* Range is fixed depending on ship girl and remodel.
 +
** It can only be one of (in shelling order): '''Longest''' > '''Very Long''' > '''Long''' > '''Medium''' > '''Short''' > '''None'''.
 +
**Unlike the other ranges, "Longest" does not have a proper in-game icon and so is just displayed as "Very Long".
 +
**"None" range is mostly reserved for Abyssal Aircraft Carriers and Transport Ships.
 +
** See [[Range]] for more information.
 +
* It can only be increased using certain equipment. See [[Range#Range Extension|Range Extension]]
 +
 +
|-|Accuracy=
 +
'''Accuracy''' {{Hit}} is not displayed on the ship girl information menu but it is a stat that is displayed on some equipment. It determines how likely a ship girl is to land her attacks.
 +
 +
* See [[Accuracy]] for details on how accuracy is calculated.
 +
* Accuracy plays a part in determining the critical hit rate.
 +
** The higher the accuracy, the higher the critical rate '''up to a certain point'''. Once a ship girl can cap accuracy against an enemy, additional accuracy is worthless.
 +
</tabber>
 +
 +
{{NBPower}} "Night Battle Power" (Yasen) may be used informally sometimes, this stat being the addition of the {{Firepower}} and {{Torpedo}} stats, used during night battles only.
 +
 +
===Ship Only Stats===
 +
<tabber>
 +
|-|HP=
 +
'''HP''' {{HP}} denotes the maximum health of a ship girl.
 +
* As she takes damage, [[#Status Conditions|damage states will display over her banner]].
 +
* It can be increased through [[Modernization#HP_Modernisation|special Modernization]] and [[Marriage]].
 +
 +
|-|Plane Capacity=
 +
'''Plane Capacity''' {{Aircraft}} is how many planes a ship girl can hold. The importance of this stat varies for each ship girl. By itself, it also does not tell much about the effectiveness of the ship girl in aerial operations. Other factors like individual slot size and slot layout play a more important role.
 +
 +
* It is most important for carriers because it determines how much damage they can do during airstrikes and how effective they are at contesting air control.
 +
** See [[Aerial Combat]] for more details on this.
 +
* It is somewhat important for [[BBV]], [[CAV]], and [[AV]] because it plays a role in determining how effective they are at contesting air control.
 +
** Slot size plays a much larger part because of how small their slots are.
 +
** For other seaplane fighter capable ships ((F)BB, CA, CL, SSV) it is just important that they have plane capacity.
 +
* It is of minor importance to other seaplane-capable ships because slot size affects the trigger rate of daytime spotting attacks.
 +
** See [[Combat/Artillery_Spotting#Trigger_Rate|Artillery Spotting]] for more details on this.
 +
*Plane Capacity is also important for [[Land-Based Air Squadron]] (LBAS), but follows different rules.
 +
'''In all cases, if a plane is in a slot with {{color|red|"zero plane capacity"}}, the plane's stats will still be applied, but none of the related mechanics will work.
 +
 +
|-|Speed=
 +
'''Speed''' {{Speed}} just denotes the speed of the ship. It affects routing in some maps and eligibility for the escort fleet in [[Combined Fleet]]s.
 +
 +
* A ship's speed can only be one of: '''Slow''' < '''Fast''' < '''Fast+''' < '''Fastest''' (sometimes "Fast++").
 +
* It can only be improved through certain equipment combinations.
 +
** In addition to the speed stat, girls also have "speed categories", defining how much their speed can be increased.
 +
** See [[Improving Ship Speed]] for details.
 +
** Increasing speed is supposed to provide bonuses to evasion but said effect is either bugged or unnoticeable.
 +
 +
|-|Luck=
 +
'''Luck''' {{Luck}} plays a role in many things. The most important role of luck is determining the trigger rate of special mechanics like:
 +
*[[Night Battle#Trigger_Rate|Night battle special attacks]],
 +
*[[Aerial_Combat#Rocket_Barrage|Anti-air barrages]],
 +
*[[Special Attacks]] (Touches).
 +
 +
It plays a minor role in evasion and accuracy.
 +
 +
* Luck is fixed based on ship and remodel.
 +
* It can be increased through [[Modernization#Luck_Modernisation|special Modernization]] and [[Marriage]].
 +
</tabber>
 +
 +
===Plane Only Stats===
 +
Aircraft also have additional Stats:
 +
*Some are only relevant for attacking or for [[Land-Based Air Squadron]] sorties/defense.
 +
*Those stats are only seen when equipping aircraft.
 +
*Please refer to the [[Aerial Combat]] and [[LBAS]] pages for more details on them.
 +
 +
<tabber>
 +
|-|Dive Bombing=
 +
'''Dive Bombing''' {{Dive}} is used alongside the Torpedo stat for the [[Damage_Calculations#Airstrike|Damage Calculations]].
 +
*It is used for airstrike and carrier shelling.
 +
 +
 +
|-|Fighter Power=
 +
'''[[Fighter Power]]''' {{AA}} shares its icon with the AA stat, as well as some behaviors.
 +
*It is the major component of [[Fighter Power|Air power]].
 +
*{{LB Fighter 1}}/{{LB Fighter 2}} [[Land-based Fighter]]s also use Interception and Anti-bomber.
 +
 +
|-|Combat Radius=
 +
'''[[Land-Based Air Squadron#Combat Radius|Combat radius]]''' {{OpsRadius}} indicates the range a given aircraft can reach from the LBAS of a given map during a sortie.
 +
*It does not have a proper icon in the game.
 +
*It can be increased when pairing aircraft with "Range Extenders".
 +
 +
|-|Interception=
 +
'''Interception''' {{Interception}} indicates the ability of a [[Land-based Fighter]]s to intercept enemy aircraft in [[LBAS|Land Base]].
 +
*It is used allong side '''Fighter Power''' {{AA}} to calculate [[Aerial Combat#Stage 1 - Battle for Air Superiority|Air power]] in [[LBAS|Land Base]].
 +
 +
 +
|-|Anti-Bomber=
 +
'''Anti-Bomber''' {{Anti-Bomber}}  indicates the ability of a [[Land-based Fighter]]s to intercept enemy bombers during [[Land-Based_Air_Squadron#Land_Base_Air-Raid|LBAS Air Raids]].
 +
*It shares its icon with the Accuracy stat.
 +
*'''Only during [[Land-Based_Air_Squadron#Land_Base_Air-Raid|LBAS Air Raids]]''', it is used allong side '''Fighter Power''' {{AA}} and '''Interception''' {{Interception}} to calculate [[Aerial Combat#Stage 1 - Battle for Air Superiority|Air power]].
 +
 +
|-|Anti-Air Resistance=
 +
'''[[AAR|Anti-Air Resistance]]''' (AAR), is a bomber-only mechanic/stat. It indicates how resistant a plane is to shut down, this feature being reserved for some of the most advanced/skilled planes in the game.
 +
*See ''[[AAR|here]]'' for more details.
 +
</tabber>
 +
 +
In addition, planes will gain ranks called "[[Proficiency]]", improving their behaviors.
 +
 +

===Random Growth===
 +
Firepower, torpedo, anti-air, and armor do not appear to follow any growth formula. Gains are random on leveling up. This does not matter much because it is much faster to increase these stats through modernization.
 +
 +
===Fixed Stats===
 +
HP and luck are fixed based on remodel. These stats can only be increased through modernization or once when [[Marriage|marrying]].

Stats are the numeric values that represent a ship girl's capabilities, and by extension, equipment and Abyssals too.

  • Some stats can be permanently increased through Modernization and/or Leveling/Remodeling.
    • Some are changed only after some specific remodel.
  • Some stats can be modified by equipping equipment, the given equipment's stats being added to the ship's stats equipping it.
    • Speed is increased by equipment combination instead of their stats.
    • Improved equipment will have some additional undisplayed stats, working like regular ones.
    • In addition, Fit Bonuses may be applied by specific equipment to specific ships.
      • Although displayed in the game, some Fit Bonuses have an erroneous effect or outright don't work.
      • "Hidden Fit Bonuses" aren't displayed, but still affect gameplay.

The following information covers most of the basics on how the mechanics work and how they influence certain factors in Sorties, Exercises, and Expeditions.

List of Stats

The Stats screen which displays the ship girl and all the stats in which that ship girl has.

All ship girl has stats that are shown through their display which can be viewed in the Composition, Remodel, or Repair menus. These stats as the previous mention cover all the factors which influence their overall performance in sorties in general. The following stats shown are as follows:

Common Stats

Firepower Firepower determines the ship girl's effectiveness during shelling and contributes to her effectiveness in night battle.

  • See Damage Calculations for how firepower plays into damage.
  • It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
    • The maximum firepower has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
  • Firepower can be increased further using equipment.
  • It is combined with torpedo when calculating night battle power.

Armor Armor determines how resilient a ship girl is to attacks.

  • See Defense Power on how armor plays into reducing damage.
  • It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
    • The maximum armor has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
  • Armour can be increased further using equipment.
  • High enough armour can reduce damage taken to chip damage.

Torpedo Torpedo Attack determines the strength of a ship girl's torpedo attacks and contributes to her effectiveness in night battle.

  • See Damage Calculations on how torpedo plays into damage.
  • It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
    • The maximum torpedo has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
  • Torpedo can be increased further using equipment.
  • Torpedo is ignored when attacking installation-type enemies.

Evasion Evasion determines how likely a ship girl is to evade an attack.

  • See Evasion for details on how evasion is calculated.
  • It can only be increased through leveling.
    • Evasion has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining evasion as she levels according to her specific evasion growth rate.
  • Evasion can be increased further using equipment.
  • Due to the way evasion is soft-capped, it is mostly ineffective as a defensive stat.

Anti-Air (AA) Anti-Air contributes to how effective a ship girl will be at shooting down planes during the air defense phase.

  • See Anti-Air Fire on how AA plays into plane shootdown.
  • It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
    • The maximum AA has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
  • AA can be increased further using equipment.
  • Due to the way the formula works, equipment AA and AACI count for a lot more towards shoot downs.
AA behaves differently for planes, being often referred to as "Fighter Power".

Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Anti-Submarine Warfare determines the ship girl's effectiveness against submarines.

  • See ASW for how it plays into ASW attacks.
  • It can be increased through special Modernization and leveling.
    • ASW has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining ASW as she levels according to her specific ASW growth rate.
  • Due to the way ASW attack is weighted towards equipment ASW, the ASW of the ship only matters when it comes to achieving Opening Anti-Submarine Warfare (OASW) thresholds.

Line of Sight (LoS) Line of Sight describes how well a ship girl can find targets. It plays a role in routing requirements, Detection, Contact, Artillery Spotting, and LBAS Defense Fighter-Power.

  • It can only be increased through leveling.
    • LoS has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining LoS as she levels according to her specific LoS growth rate.
  • LoS can be increased further using equipment.
  • Due to how equipment LoS is weighted for spotting trigger rate and routing, equipment LoS is much more important than ship girl LoS.

Range Range determines a ship girl's Shooting Order during the first shelling phase and OASW.

  • Range is fixed depending on ship girl and remodel.
    • It can only be one of (in shelling order): Longest > Very Long > Long > Medium > Short > None.
    • Unlike the other ranges, "Longest" does not have a proper in-game icon and so is just displayed as "Very Long".
    • "None" range is mostly reserved for Abyssal Aircraft Carriers and Transport Ships.
    • See Range for more information.
  • It can only be increased using certain equipment. See Range Extension

Accuracy Accuracy is not displayed on the ship girl information menu but it is a stat that is displayed on some equipment. It determines how likely a ship girl is to land her attacks.

  • See Accuracy for details on how accuracy is calculated.
  • Accuracy plays a part in determining the critical hit rate.
    • The higher the accuracy, the higher the critical rate up to a certain point. Once a ship girl can cap accuracy against an enemy, additional accuracy is worthless.

Night Battle Power "Night Battle Power" (Yasen) may be used informally sometimes, this stat being the addition of the Firepower and Torpedo Attack stats, used during night battles only.

Ship Only Stats

HP Health denotes the maximum health of a ship girl.

Plane Capacity Aircraft is how many planes a ship girl can hold. The importance of this stat varies for each ship girl. By itself, it also does not tell much about the effectiveness of the ship girl in aerial operations. Other factors like individual slot size and slot layout play a more important role.

  • It is most important for carriers because it determines how much damage they can do during airstrikes and how effective they are at contesting air control.
  • It is somewhat important for BBV, CAV, and AV because it plays a role in determining how effective they are at contesting air control.
    • Slot size plays a much larger part because of how small their slots are.
    • For other seaplane fighter capable ships ((F)BB, CA, CL, SSV) it is just important that they have plane capacity.
  • It is of minor importance to other seaplane-capable ships because slot size affects the trigger rate of daytime spotting attacks.
  • Plane Capacity is also important for Land-Based Air Squadron (LBAS), but follows different rules.
In all cases, if a plane is in a slot with "zero plane capacity", the plane's stats will still be applied, but none of the related mechanics will work.

Speed Speed just denotes the speed of the ship. It affects routing in some maps and eligibility for the escort fleet in Combined Fleets.

  • A ship's speed can only be one of: Slow < Fast < Fast+ < Fastest (sometimes "Fast++").
  • It can only be improved through certain equipment combinations.
    • In addition to the speed stat, girls also have "speed categories", defining how much their speed can be increased.
    • See Improving Ship Speed for details.
    • Increasing speed is supposed to provide bonuses to evasion but said effect is either bugged or unnoticeable.

Luck Luck plays a role in many things. The most important role of luck is determining the trigger rate of special mechanics like:

It plays a minor role in evasion and accuracy.

Plane Only Stats

Aircraft also have additional Stats:

  • Some are only relevant for attacking or for Land-Based Air Squadron sorties/defense.
  • Those stats are only seen when equipping aircraft.
  • Please refer to the Aerial Combat and LBAS pages for more details on them.

Dive Bombing Dive Bomber Attack is used alongside the Torpedo stat for the Damage Calculations.

  • It is used for airstrike and carrier shelling.

Fighter Power Anti-Air shares its icon with the AA stat, as well as some behaviors.

Combat radius Operation Radius indicates the range a given aircraft can reach from the LBAS of a given map during a sortie.

  • It does not have a proper icon in the game.
  • It can be increased when pairing aircraft with "Range Extenders".

Interception Interception indicates the ability of a Land-based Fighters to intercept enemy aircraft in Land Base.

Anti-Bomber Anti-Bomber indicates the ability of a Land-based Fighters to intercept enemy bombers during LBAS Air Raids.

  • It shares its icon with the Accuracy stat.
  • Only during LBAS Air Raids, it is used allong side Fighter Power Anti-Air and Interception Interception to calculate Air power.

Anti-Air Resistance (AAR), is a bomber-only mechanic/stat. It indicates how resistant a plane is to shut down, this feature being reserved for some of the most advanced/skilled planes in the game.

  • See here for more details.

In addition, planes will gain ranks called "Proficiency", improving their behaviors.

Ship Slots

Some ships have a different number of equipment slots than the rest of their type:

Stat Growth

Linear Growth

Evasion Evasion, ASW Anti-Submarine Warfare, and LoS Line of Sight follow a linear growth formula based on the minimum and maximum stats of the remodel. The minimum and maximum values can be found on individual ship girl pages.

Linear Growth Formula
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{Stat} = \Big\lfloor \text{minimum} + \text{level} \times \frac{\text{maximum} - \text{minimum} }{99} \Big\rfloor }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{minimum} }[/math] the minimum value of the stat in question.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{maximum} }[/math] the maximum value of the stat in question.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{level} }[/math] the current level of the ship girl.
Notes
  • This formula can be used to calculate the base stats of a remodel.
  • Stats will follow the same linear growth past level 99. This means the displayed maximum value is not the actual maximum.

Random Growth

Firepower, torpedo, anti-air, and armor do not appear to follow any growth formula. Gains are random on leveling up. This does not matter much because it is much faster to increase these stats through modernization.

Fixed Stats

HP and luck are fixed based on remodel. These stats can only be increased through modernization or once when marrying.

Black HP Bar Bug

If a ship's HP ratio is between 0.665365 and 2/3 (for example 233/350 on the Aircraft Carrier Princess), its battle banner's HP bar becomes black.

  • This is caused by some rounding error in the calculation of the green-ness of the color. Within this range, the green color would become round(>=255.5) = 256, causing an overflow in the final color value, resulting in the color 0x1000000 being used instead of a color around 0xFFFF00.
  • It is possible to find at which HP value(s) this happens given a max HP using this Calculator.
