=Success Conditions=
+
==Equipment Behaviours==
===Normal Success===
+
Equipment [[Stat]]s do not behave the same in expeditions as in regular battle. Notably, aircraft stats and [[Improvement]]s {{Star}} are charged.
Meeting the requirements for the expeditions as [[#Reference Tables|detailed below]] will normally result in a '''Normal Success (成功)'''. Failing to meet the requirements will result in a '''Failure (失敗)'''. Please check the fleets against the following checklist to ensure success.
+

 +
===Adjusted Aircraft Stats===
 +
In expeditions, the [[Stat]]s of aircraft will be affected by the aircraft's stats themself, the aircraft's [[Proficiency]], and the aircraft count (slot size).
 +

 +
Affected aircraft are:
 +
*{{Dive Bomber}} [[Dive Bomber]]s,
 +
*{{Torpedo Bomber}}/{{Night Torpedo Bomber}} [[Torpedo Bomber]]s,
 +
*{{Seaplane}}/{{Night Recon}}/{{Night SPB}} [[Seaplane]]s,
 +
*{{LFB}} [[Large Flying Boat]]s,
 +
*{{Autogyro}} [[Rotorcraft]],
 +
*{{ASWPlane}} [[Liaison Aircraft]].
 +

 +
Since the adjusted stats for those aircraft are uncertain, it is not recommended to use them to bring the required stats to the fleet, as the real stat might be lower than the displayed one, missing the requirement.

* '''Supply status''': Fleets should be fully '''[[Supply (Mechanic)|resupplied]]''' before being dispatched. Fleets without enough supplies to meet the expedition cost will fail.
+
So far, it is known the following for stats:
* '''Flagship level''': The flagship must have a level greater or equal to the required flagship level of the expedition.
+
*The Firepower {{Firepower}} stat is unaffected and works as usual.
* '''Fleet level''': Certain expeditions also have a '''sum total of fleet level''' requirement that must be met.
+
*The adjusted ASW {{ASW}} stat is known, described ''[[#Adjusted ASW|below]]''.
* '''Composition''': Certain expeditions require certain ship types and/or certain numbers of ship girls to be dispatched.
+
*The adjusted LoS {{LOS}} stat seems to be affected by the aircraft count and proficiency.
* '''Drum Canisters''': Certain expeditions such as 21 require a certain number of [[Drum Canister]]s to be equipped by the fleet.
+
*The stats given by aircraft [[Visible Bonus]]es seems to work as usual.
* '''Stats''': Certain expeditions such as A2 have certain '''sum total of fleet [[Stats]]''' requirements that must be met. Required stats can be firepower {{Firepower}}, Torpedo {{Torpedo}}, ASW {{ASW}}, Line of Sight {{LOS}} or Anti-Air {{AA}}.

!Adjusted ASW Formulas

Those formulas work for calculating the adjusted ASW for aircraft with [[Proficiency]] level of '''0'''<ref>https://twitter.com/Xe_UCH/status/1273838678201085953?s=20</ref>.

A '''Great Success (GS) (大成功)''' provides 50% more resources, twice the HQ experience, four times the ship girl experience, and the great success reward item (if applicable). In addition to meeting [[#Normal Success | Normal Success]] conditions, great success requires either:

\text{ASW}_\text{Adj} = \big\lfloor \text{ASW}_\text{Base} \times \big( 0.65 + 0.1 \times \sqrt{ \text{Plane}_\text{Count} - 2} \big) \big\rfloor

Ship girls with 50 or more [[Morale_and_Fatigue|morale]].
+
*<math>\text{ASW}_\text{Adj}</math> the adjust '''ASW''' {{ASW}} stat of the aircraft,
* Each sparkled ship girl increases the great success chance by approximately 16%.
+
*<math>\text{ASW}_\text{Base}</math> the base '''ASW''' {{ASW}} stat of the aircraft,
 +
*<math>\text{Plane}_\text{Count}</math> the count of aircraft in a given slot
 +
*<math>\text{Mod}_\text{Proficiency}</math> the [[Proficiency]] of the aircraft.
 +
**Proficiency's effect is unknown yet but not negligible for {{Double Chevron}} aircraft.
 +
|}

'''Level'''<br>
+
The result of this adjustment is an ASW {{ASW}} stat that can be up to '''+6''' points higher, and down to '''-5''' points lowers the displayed stat.
Certain expeditions have an innate great success chance related to the flagship level.
+
*The adjusted ASW for {{Double Chevron}} aircraft with 1 to 13 {{ASW}} in any slot size configuration is given in the following table (measured values<ref>https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1o-_-I8GXuJDkSGH0Dhjo7mVYx9Kpay2N2h9H3HMyO_E/edit#gid=2027912361</ref>).
* Using a higher level flagship will increase the base great success chance of those expeditions.

* The formula for determining the GS chance is as follows:

*<math>\text{GS%} = 16 + ( 15 \times \text{Nb}_\text{Sparkl} ) + (\sqrt{\text{Flag}_\text{Lv}} + \frac{\text{Flag}_\text{Lv}}{10})</math>

** The base GS rate is then:

***46 % with a Lv 175 flagship and no sparkled ship,

***100 % with a Lv 128 flagship with 4 sparkled ships,

***100 % with a Lv 33 flagship with 5 sparkled ships.

* The expeditions affected by the "flagship level" rule are A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, B3, B4, B5, B6, 41, 43, 45, 32, D1, D2, D3, & E1.

'''Drum Canisters'''<br>

Expeditions that require drums have an innate chance of great success.
+
! colspan=14| Adjust Expedition ASW For {{Double Chevron}} Aircraft

* Even with 6 sparkled girls, these expeditions still have a chance to not have a GS. The minimum requirement to guarantee GS is to "over drum" the fleet and sparkle at least 4 girls.

=Expedition Rewards=

Expeditions will always yield primary resources ({{Fuel}}{{Ammo}}{{Steel}}{{Bauxite}}) upon success. Secondary rewards are not guaranteed.

[[File:Expedition_Secondary_Reward.jpg|border|frame|right|Expedition 12 gives medium box (left) and development material (right)]]

* Items listed on the left always have a 50% chance of being obtained regardless of normal or great success.

* Items listed on the right are guaranteed on a great success and have a very low chance on a normal success.

* Flagships get 1.5x exp modifier as per usual

* If the right reward can give more than 1 item, it will be a random quantity between 1 and its maximum possible. (Eg. If the right reward is 3 buckets, it can be 1-3 buckets randomly)

* As of Phase 2 rewards are not ordered in Left/Right format, and the terminology is kept only for reference to expedition tables within the wiki.

===The Dot System===

On each expedition, the amount of resources earned is displayed with 0 to 4 dots, 0 meaning that the resource is not found on the expedition, and each additional dot approximately show the resources generated with the following rule:

{|class="wikitable"

! !! 0 dot!! 1 dot!! 2 dots!! 3 dots!! 4 dots

|-

|-
| resource range|| 0|| 1-240|| 240-480|| 500-650|| 750-2000
+
! 15
|}
+
| 1|| 2|| 3|| 4|| 6|| 7|| 9|| 10|| 11|| 12|| ?|| ?|| 15
*Those values do not take great success or the use of DLC or drums into account.

In those cases, the limits of the ranges are inclusive, so for instance, an expedition giving 240 resources can have either 1 or 2 dots, for no apparent reason.

Since this dot system is very approximate, the [[#Reference_Tables|Reference Tables]] may be referred to instead.

===Landing Craft===

Equipping certain landing craft will boost the primary resource gain of the expedition. All landing craft bonuses are '''multiplicative''' with the great success bonus.

=Success Conditions=
 +
===Normal Success===
 +
Meeting the requirements for the expeditions as [[#Reference Tables|detailed below]] will normally result in a '''Normal Success (成功)'''. Failing to meet the requirements will result in a '''Failure (失敗)'''. Please check the fleets against the following checklist to ensure success.
 +

 +
Normal success is notably affected by:
 +
* '''Supply status''': Fleets should be fully '''[[Supply (Mechanic)|resupplied]]''' before being dispatched. Fleets without enough supplies to meet the expedition cost will fail.
 +
* '''Flagship level''': The flagship must have a level greater or equal to the required flagship level of the expedition.
 +
* '''Fleet level''': Certain expeditions also have a '''sum total of fleet level''' requirement that must be met.
 +
* '''Composition''': Certain expeditions require certain ship types and/or certain numbers of ships to be dispatched.
 +
* '''Drum Canisters''': Certain expeditions require a certain number of [[Drum Canister]]s to be equipped by the fleet.
 +
* '''Stats''': Certain expeditions have certain '''sum total of fleet [[Stats]]''' requirements that must be met. Required stats can be firepower {{Firepower}}, ASW {{ASW}}, Line of Sight {{LOS}}, or Anti-Air {{AA}}.
 +

 +
===Great Success===
 +
[[File:Greatsuccess.jpg|center|500px|Great Success]]
 +

 +
A '''Great Success (GS) (大成功)''' provides 50% more resources, twice the HQ experience, four times the ship girl experience, and the great success reward item (if applicable). In addition to meeting [[#Normal Success|Normal Success]] conditions, conditions for GS in expeditions are split into 3 types:

|In a fleet, every ship must be sparkled to get a GS.

=Expedition Rewards=
 +
Expeditions will always yield primary resources ({{Fuel}}{{Ammo}}{{Steel}}{{Bauxite}}) upon success. Secondary rewards are not guaranteed.
 +
[[File:Expedition_Secondary_Reward.jpg|border|frame|right|Expedition 12 gives medium box (left) and development material (right)]]
 +
* Items listed on the left always have a 50% chance of being obtained regardless of normal or great success.
 +
* Items listed on the right are guaranteed on a great success and have a very low chance on a normal success.

* Flagships get 1.5x exp modifier as per usual,
 +
* If the right reward can give more than 1 item, it will be a random quantity between 1 and its maximum possible (e.g. if the right reward is 3 buckets, it can be 1-3 buckets randomly),
 +
* As of Phase 2 rewards are not ordered in Left/Right format, and the terminology is kept only for reference to expedition tables within the wiki.
 +

 +
===The Dot System===
 +
On each expedition, the amount of resources earned is displayed with 0 to 4 dots, 0 meaning that the resource is not found on the expedition, and each additional dot approximately show the resources generated with the following rule:
 +

 +
{|class="wikitable"
 +
! !! 0 dot!! 1 dot!! 2 dots!! 3 dots!! 4 dots
 +
|-
 +
| resource range|| 0|| 1-240|| 240-480|| 500-650|| 750-2000
 +
|}
 +
*Those values do not take great success or the use of DLC or drums into account.
 +

 +
In those cases, the limits of the ranges are inclusive, so for instance, an expedition giving 240 resources can have either 1 or 2 dots, for no apparent reason.
 +

 +
Since this dot system is very approximate, the [[#Reference_Tables|Reference Tables]] may be referred to instead.
 +

 +
Ther game also displays the "consumption" of expeditions, using three levels:
 +
*''None'' (なし), for when no ammo is consumed,
 +
*''Little'' (少量), for the 20 % and 30 % consumption,
 +
*''Lots'' (普通), for the 30+ % consumption.
 +

 +

===Support Expeditions===
 +
Support expeditions are available in [[World 5]] and [[events]].
 +
*Fleets can be dispatched to assist the fleet during sorties in those areas.
 +
*Please see [[Support Expedition]] for more details on what they are and how they work.
 +

 +
===Monthly Expeditions===
 +
These expeditions can only be completed once per month. They reset '''on the 15th of every month at 12 h JST'''.
 +

 +
* They are marked with "Expedition Complete" once they are done for the month.
 +
** Failures do not count as completion.
 +
* Some monthlies require other monthlies to be unlocked and so are locked at reset.
 +
**See [[Expeditions#Unlocking_Expeditions|Unlocking Expeditions]].
 +
* These expeditions reward great quantities of resources and consumables.
 +
** They are the only expeditions rewarding improvement materials {{IM}} and [[Irako]].
 +
* It is not possible to dispatch a fleet on these expeditions if the completion timer would overlap with the reset for that month. E.g. 42 will be locked at 4 h JST.
 +

 +
====Combat Expeditions====
 +
Combat expeditions are a subtype of monthlies, where the fleets can return damaged. These expeditions are further divided into Type I and Type II.

Expeditions button in the sortie screen

The Expedition (遠征) menu can be accessed from the Sortie (出撃) button on the main menu. These will be the main source of all in-game resources.

  • Only the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fleets can be sent in expeditions.
  • Resources gained from expeditions can go beyond the resource soft cap.
  • Expeditions provide both HQ & ship experience.

Menu Functions

  • Expedition List - Displays all unlocked expeditions.
  • Resources Yield - Displays the resources that can be earned from that expedition (see Dot system).
  • Sample Composition - Displays a composition of ships' shadows that can work for the expedition (not always optimal).
  • Resource Cost - Displays the vague fuel Fuel and ammo Ammunition cost of the expedition. It is displayed as either:
    • None (なし)
    • Little (少量)
    • Normal (普通)
  • Confirm - Allows to select an expedition and brings up the fleet selection menu.
    • An additional "resupply button" can be added here.
  • Begin Expedition - Allows to send the selected fleet on an expedition.

Unlocking Expeditions

The Expedition menu is locked at the start. Quest A4 needs to complete to unlock it.

  • Expeditions are unlocked by clearing previous expeditions.
  • Some expeditions also require Sortie maps to be cleared
  • Note that several expeditions are not available in the game yet, and will be introduced in future updates.

Performing Expeditions

Dispatching Fleets

Sending a fleet on expedition, with several drums & craft equiped.
Expedition Page of World 5. The number 3 marker denotes the third fleet is on this expedition

To dispatch fleets on an expedition:

  1. Select the expedition to do from the expedition menu.
  2. Click the Confirm (決定) button to bring up the fleet selection menu.
  3. Select the fleet to dispatch using the fleet icons at the top.
    • Remember that the first fleet cannot be dispatched.
  4. If the fleet is not fully resupplied, click on the "Provisional Resupply" button to do so.
    • Do note that aircraft capacity is not restored using this function.
  5. Click on Begin Expedition! (遠征開始!) to dispatch the fleet.
Important Notes
  • Up to 3 fleets can be dispatched at once.
    • They cannot be dispatched on the same expedition.
    • Please see Composition on how to unlock more fleets.
  • Every expedition has specific success conditions. Please see below for details.
    • Not meeting the conditions will cause the expedition to fail and not yield any resources.
    • Fuel and ammunition costs will still be applied.
    • Experience will still be gained but HQ experience will be reduced by 30%.
  • Expeditions only count for quests if the quest is active when the fleet returns.
    • Therefore the quest only needs to be activated when the expedition is nearing completion.
  • Expeditions can be completed early by returning to the home screen when less than 1 minute remains on the timer.
  • Expeditions cost 3 morale.
  • Damage state does not affect success or failure.
    • Heavily damaged (大破) flagships will render the fleet unable to be dispatched.
  • When equipped, the number of Drum Canister Drum Canisters, Landing Craft Landing Craft, and Amphibious Vehicle Amphibious Vehicles is displayed on each girl (up to 4 equipment per girl).

Recalling Expeditions

Only seen in an active expedition

It is possible to cancel the expedition by clicking the Cancel Expedition/Recall Order (遠征中止/帰還命令) button.

  • This is useful When the wrong fleet is sent on an expedition or a fleet is sent to the wrong expedition.
  • Cancelled expeditions do not yield any resources or experience.
  • They are counted as failures on the Admiral profile.
  • A recall cannot be cancelled.
  • Support expeditions cannot be recalled.
  • Recalled fleets do not return immediately, the return time is calculated as:
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{T}_\text{Return}= \frac{ \text{min} ( \text{T}_\text{Remaining} \text{ ; } \text{T}_\text{Elapsed} ) }{3} }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{T} }[/math] in minutes.

For example, a fleet is sent on expedition 01 (15 min), then after 6 minutes, it is recalled.

  1. The remaining time is 9 minutes.
  2. The elapsed time is 6 minutes.
  3. The smaller number of the two, 6 minutes elapsed time in this case, is divided by 3.
  4. The final recall time is 2 minutes.

Equipment Behaviours

Equipment Stats do not behave the same in expeditions as in regular battle. Notably, aircraft stats and Improvements Improved are charged.

Adjusted Aircraft Stats

In expeditions, the Stats of aircraft will be affected by the aircraft's stats themself, the aircraft's Proficiency, and the aircraft count (slot size).

Affected aircraft are:

Since the adjusted stats for those aircraft are uncertain, it is not recommended to use them to bring the required stats to the fleet, as the real stat might be lower than the displayed one, missing the requirement.

So far, it is known the following for stats:

  • The Firepower Firepower stat is unaffected and works as usual.
  • The adjusted ASW Anti-Submarine Warfare stat is known, described below.
  • The adjusted LoS Line of Sight stat seems to be affected by the aircraft count and proficiency.
  • The stats given by aircraft Visible Bonuses seems to work as usual.

Adjusted ASW

Adjusted ASW Formulas

Those formulas work for calculating the adjusted ASW for aircraft with Proficiency level of 0[1].

[math]\displaystyle{ \begin{cases} \text{Plane}_\text{Count} = 0 & \text{ASW}_\text{Adj} = 0 \\ \text{Plane}_\text{Count} = 1 & \text{ASW}_\text{Adj} = \big\lfloor \text{ASW}_\text{Base} \times 0.65 \big\rfloor \\ \text{Plane}_\text{Count} ⩾ 2 & \text{ASW}_\text{Adj} = \big\lfloor \text{ASW}_\text{Base} \times \big( 0.65 + 0.1 \times \sqrt{ \text{Plane}_\text{Count} - 2} \big) \big\rfloor \end{cases} }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{ASW}_\text{Adj} }[/math] the adjust ASW Anti-Submarine Warfare stat of the aircraft,
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{ASW}_\text{Base} }[/math] the base ASW Anti-Submarine Warfare stat of the aircraft,
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Plane}_\text{Count} }[/math] the count of aircraft in a given slot
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{Proficiency} }[/math] the Proficiency of the aircraft.
    • Proficiency's effect is unknown yet but not negligible for ❱❱ aircraft.

The result of this adjustment is an ASW Anti-Submarine Warfare stat that can be up to +6 points higher, and down to -5 points lowers the displayed stat.

  • The adjusted ASW for ❱❱ aircraft with 1 to 13 Anti-Submarine Warfare in any slot size configuration is given in the following table (measured values[2]).

Success Conditions

Normal Success

Meeting the requirements for the expeditions as detailed below will normally result in a Normal Success (成功). Failing to meet the requirements will result in a Failure (失敗). Please check the fleets against the following checklist to ensure success.

Normal success is notably affected by:

  • Supply status: Fleets should be fully resupplied before being dispatched. Fleets without enough supplies to meet the expedition cost will fail.
  • Flagship level: The flagship must have a level greater or equal to the required flagship level of the expedition.
  • Fleet level: Certain expeditions also have a sum total of fleet level requirement that must be met.
  • Composition: Certain expeditions require certain ship types and/or certain numbers of ships to be dispatched.
  • Drum Canisters: Certain expeditions require a certain number of Drum Canisters to be equipped by the fleet.
  • Stats: Certain expeditions have certain sum total of fleet Stats requirements that must be met. Required stats can be firepower Firepower, ASW Anti-Submarine Warfare, Line of Sight Line of Sight, or Anti-Air Anti-Air.

Great Success

Great Success

A Great Success (GS) (大成功) provides 50% more resources, twice the HQ experience, four times the ship girl experience, and the great success reward item (if applicable). In addition to meeting Normal Success conditions, conditions for GS in expeditions are split into 3 types:

Expedition Type GS Conditions Notes
Type I
"Sparkle type"
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{GS}_\text{%} = ( 15 \times \text{N}_\text{Spark} + 21 ) \times \text{Mod}_\text{Sp} }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{N}_\text{Spark} }[/math] the number of "sparkled" ships.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{Sp} }[/math] the sparkling check, being:
    • 1 if all ships in the fleet are sparkled,
    • 0 if any ship in the fleet is unsparkled.
In a fleet, every ship must be sparkled to get a GS.
  • If any ship is unsparkled, the GS rate drops to 0%,
  • If the fleet has less than 6 ships, each empty slot will just decrease the GS rate accordingly.
Type II
"Drum type"
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{GS}_\text{%} = 15 \times \text{N}_\text{Spark} + \text{Mod}_\text{Drum} }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{N}_\text{Spark} }[/math] the number of "sparkled" ships.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{Drum} }[/math] the "over drum" constant described below, being:
    • 6 if the fleet is not "over drum",
    • 41 if the fleet is "over drum".
Drum requirements
Exped Drums carriers Drums required Over Drum
21 3 3 4
24 1 0 2
37 3 4 5
38 4 8 10
40 1 0 4
44 3 6 8
E2 3 4 6
All "drum expeditions" follow this rule, as well as 24 and 40.
  • "Drum expeditions" require a certain amount of Drum Canister Drum CanistersDrum Canister (Transport Use) to meet the success requirement.
  • Adding enough Drums will "over drum" the expedition, being needed for GS.
  • When "over drum", only 4 sparkled ships are enough to reach 100% GS rate.
Type III
"Level type"
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{GS}_\text{%} = 15 \times \text{N}_\text{Spark} + 16 + \sqrt{\text{Lv}_\text{Flag}} + \frac{\text{Lv}_\text{Flag}}{10} }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{N}_\text{Spark} }[/math] the number of "sparkled" ships.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Lv}_\text{Flag} }[/math] the level of the flagship.
Greatly depends on the flagship level, the GS rate is for example:
  • 47.4 % if flagship Lv = 180 & 0 ship sparkled,
  • 100 % if flagship Lv ≥ 128 & 4 ships are sparkled,
  • 100 % if flagship Lv ≥ 33+ & 5 ships are sparkled,
  • 100 % if flagship Lv ≤ 32- & all ships are sparkled (about the same condition as Type I)

Expedition Rewards

Expeditions will always yield primary resources (FuelAmmunitionSteelBauxite) upon success. Secondary rewards are not guaranteed.

Expedition 12 gives medium box (left) and development material (right)
  • Items listed on the left always have a 50% chance of being obtained regardless of normal or great success.
  • Items listed on the right are guaranteed on a great success and have a very low chance on a normal success.

See below for a summary:

Result Resources Experience Rewards
HQ XP Ship XP Left Right
Recall None None None None None
Failure x0.3 x1 or x2 (50% chance)
Normal Success x1 x1 x1 or x2 (50% chance) 50%
Great Success x1.5 x2 x2 or x4 (50% chance) Guaranteed
Notes
  • Flagships get 1.5x exp modifier as per usual,
  • If the right reward can give more than 1 item, it will be a random quantity between 1 and its maximum possible (e.g. if the right reward is 3 buckets, it can be 1-3 buckets randomly),
  • As of Phase 2 rewards are not ordered in Left/Right format, and the terminology is kept only for reference to expedition tables within the wiki.

The Dot System

On each expedition, the amount of resources earned is displayed with 0 to 4 dots, 0 meaning that the resource is not found on the expedition, and each additional dot approximately show the resources generated with the following rule:

0 dot 1 dot 2 dots 3 dots 4 dots
resource range 0 1-240 240-480 500-650 750-2000
  • Those values do not take great success or the use of DLC or drums into account.

In those cases, the limits of the ranges are inclusive, so for instance, an expedition giving 240 resources can have either 1 or 2 dots, for no apparent reason.

Since this dot system is very approximate, the Reference Tables may be referred to instead.

Ther game also displays the "consumption" of expeditions, using three levels:

  • None (なし), for when no ammo is consumed,
  • Little (少量), for the 20 % and 30 % consumption,
  • Lots (普通), for the 30+ % consumption.

Expedition Gain Formula

The primary resources (FuelAmmunitionSteelBauxite) rewarded by expedition is summarized by the following formula:

Expedition Gain Formula
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{Gain}_\text{Total} = \big\lfloor \text{Gain}_\text{Base} \times \text{Mod}_\text{GS} \times \Big( 1 + \text{MIN} \Big[ \sum^{ \text{All Craft} } \text{Mod}_\text{DLC} ; 0.2 \Big] \times ( 1 + \frac{\text{Avg}_\bigstar}{100} ) \Big) \big\rfloor + \big\lfloor \text{Gain}_\text{Base} \times \text{Mod}_\text{GS} \times \text{Mod}_\text{Toku DLC} \big\rfloor }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Gain}_\text{Base} }[/math] the base gain of the expedition given in the tables below.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{GS} }[/math] being 1.5 if it is a "Great Success" (GS) (大成功) and 1 otherwise.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{DLC} }[/math] the bonus given by Landing Equipments:

Expedition 32 Experience Formula

Unlike other expeditions, expedition 32 ship experience gain varies with the following formula

Expedition 32 XP Forumla
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{Exp} = \big[ ( 900 \times \text{Mod}_\text{GS} \times \text{Mod}_\text{FS} \times \text{Mod}_\text{rand} ) + \text{Mod}_\text{escort} \big] \times \text{Mod}_\text{lv} }[/math]
With
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{GS} }[/math] being 2 if the expedition is a Great Success, otherwise 1.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{FS} }[/math] being 1.5 for the flagship, otherwise 1.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{rand} }[/math] have a 50% chance of either being 1 or 2.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{escort} = \text{LV}_\text{FS} + 10 \times \sqrt{\text{LV}_\text{FS}} }[/math] round down to the tens.
    • It is 0 for the flagship.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{LV}_\text{FS} }[/math] flagship's level.
  • [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{lv} }[/math] the "level correction" of the ship, described below:
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{lv} }[/math]

1-9 1.50
10-19 1.25
20-29 1.1
30-69 1
70+ 0.9
Notes
  • The flagship for this expedition must be a Training Cruiser (CT).
    • 2 DD are also required to clear it.
  • Up to 3 other ships of any type can be brought alongside them.
  • Unlike other expeditions, this expeditions used for Leveling and not resource gain.

Expedition Subtypes

Support Expeditions

Support expeditions are available in World 5 and events.

  • Fleets can be dispatched to assist the fleet during sorties in those areas.
  • Please see Support Expedition for more details on what they are and how they work.

Monthly Expeditions

These expeditions can only be completed once per month. They reset on the 15th of every month at 12 h JST.

  • They are marked with "Expedition Complete" once they are done for the month.
    • Failures do not count as completion.
  • Some monthlies require other monthlies to be unlocked and so are locked at reset.
  • These expeditions reward great quantities of resources and consumables.
    • They are the only expeditions rewarding improvement materials Improvement material and Irako.
  • It is not possible to dispatch a fleet on these expeditions if the completion timer would overlap with the reset for that month. E.g. 42 will be locked at 4 h JST.

Combat Expeditions

Combat expeditions are a subtype of monthlies, where the fleets can return damaged. These expeditions are further divided into Type I and Type II.

Type I Type II
Mark on the name Small explosion Large explosion
Chance of ships
returning damaged
Low High
Greatest damage inflicted Moderately Damaged (中破) Heavily Damaged (大破)
Expeditions A5, B4, 43, D2 A6, B5, B6, 46, D3, E1, E2
  • In some Combat Expeditions, the last ship or last 2 ships of the fleet may be spared 100% of the time.
  • Using 217% of the base stats required by a Type II Combat Expedition will prevent ships returning damaged [1].

Flagship icon.png Minimum flagship level.
Minimum Fleet Size Required number of ships per type. XX denotes the minimum number of wild cards (any ship) necessary in addition to the specified ship types to reach a minimum number of ships in the fleet. For expeditions requiring less than 6 ships, extras may be added (e.g. to hit fleet-level requirements). See Glossary for more ship-type abbreviations.
Drum Canister DrumsDrum Canister (Transport Use) are required or/and affect great success.
FuelAmmunition Ammo and fuel consumption per ship, given in "supply bars". Each ship has 10 bars when fully resupplied. The value for each bar varies from one ship to another.

General Notes

Unless precised otherwise, a ship type cannot be used as a substitute for another one.

Escort Carriers (CVE) are CVL specialized in ASW. All CVE count as CVL.

Equipment Stats behave differently in expeditions, especially aircraft and improvements Improved.
