Stats are the numeric values that represent a ship girl's capabilities, and by extension, equipment and Abyssals too.
- Some stats can be permanently increased through Modernization and/or Leveling/Remodeling.
- Some are changed only after some specific remodel.
- Some stats can be modified by equipping equipment, the given equipment's stats being added to the ship's stats equipping it.
- Speed is increased by equipment combination instead of their stats.
- Improved equipment will have some additional undisplayed stats, working like regular ones.
- In addition, Fit Bonuses may be applied by specific equipment to specific ships.
- Although displayed in the game, some Fit Bonuses have an erroneous effect or outright don't work.
- "Hidden Fit Bonuses" aren't displayed, but still affect gameplay.
The following information covers most of the basics on how the mechanics work and how they influence certain factors in Sorties, Exercises, and Expeditions.
List of Stats
All ship girl has stats that are shown through their display which can be viewed in the Composition, Remodel, or Repair menus. These stats as the previous mention cover all the factors which influence their overall performance in sorties in general. The following stats shown are as follows:
HP denotes the maximum health of a ship girl.
- As she takes damage, damage states will display over her banner.
- It can be increased through special Modernization and Marriage.
Firepower determines the ship girl's effectiveness during shelling and contributes to her effectiveness in night battle.
- See Damage Calculations for how firepower plays into damage.
- It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
- The maximum firepower has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
- Firepower can be increased further using equipment.
- It is combined with torpedo when calculating night battle power.
Armor determines how resilient a ship girl is to attacks.
- See Defense Power on how armor plays into reducing damage.
- It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
- The maximum armor has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
- Armour can be increased further using equipment.
- High enough armour can reduce damage taken to chip damage.
Torpedo determines the strength of a ship girl's torpedo attacks and contributes to her effectiveness in night battle.
- See Damage Calculations on how torpedo plays into damage.
- It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
- The maximum torpedo has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
- Torpedo can be increased further using equipment.
- Torpedo is ignored when attacking installation-type enemies.
Evasion determines how likely a ship girl is to evade an attack.
- See Evasion for details on how evasion is calculated.
- It can only be increased through leveling.
- Evasion has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining evasion as she levels according to her specific evasion growth rate.
- Evasion can be increased further using equipment.
- Due to the way evasion is soft-capped, it is mostly ineffective as a defensive stat.
Anti-Air (AA) contributes to how effective a ship girl will be at shooting down planes during the air defense phase.
- See Anti-Air Fire on how AA plays into plane shootdown.
- It can be increased through Modernization and leveling.
- The maximum AA has a fixed cap depending on ship and remodel.
- AA can be increased further using equipment.
- Due to the way the formula works, equipment AA and AACI count for a lot more towards shoot downs.
Plane Capacity is how many planes a ship girl can hold. The importance of this stat varies for each ship girl. By itself, it also doesn't tell much about the effectiveness of the ship girl in aerial operations. Other factors like individual slot size and slot layout play a more important role.
- It is most important for carriers because it determines how much damage they can do during airstrikes and how effective they are at contesting air control.
- See Aerial Combat for more details on this.
- It is somewhat important for BBV, CAV, and AV because it plays a role in determining how effective they are at contesting air control.
- Slot size plays a much larger part because of how small their slots are.
- For other seaplane fighter capable ships ((F)BB, CA, CL, SSV) it is just important that they have plane capacity.
- It is of minor importance to other seaplane-capable ships because slot size affects the trigger rate of daytime spotting attacks.
- See Artillery Spotting for more details on this.
- Plane Capacity is also important for Land-Based Air Squadron (LBAS), but follows different rules.
Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) determines the ship girl's effectiveness against submarines.
- See ASW for how it plays into ASW attacks.
- It can be increased through special Modernization and leveling.
- ASW has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining ASW as she levels according to her specific ASW growth rate.
- Due to the way ASW attack is weighted towards equipment ASW, the ASW of the ship only matters when it comes to achieving Opening Anti-Submarine Warfare (OASW) thresholds.
Speed just denotes the speed of the ship. It affects routing in some maps and eligibility for the escort fleet in Combined Fleets.
- A ship's speed can only be one of: Slow < Fast < Fast+ < Fastest (sometimes "Fast++").
- It can only be improved through certain equipment combinations.
- In addition to the speed stat, girls also have "speed categories", defining how much their speed can be increased.
- See Improving Ship Speed for details.
- Increasing speed is supposed to provide bonuses to evasion but said effect is either bugged or unnoticeable.
Line of Sight (LoS) describes how well a ship girl can find targets. It plays a role in Detection, Artillery Spotting trigger rate, and routing requirements.
- It can only be increased through leveling.
- LoS has no fixed cap, a ship girl will keep gaining LoS as she levels according to her specific LoS growth rate.
- LoS can be increased further using equipment.
- Due to how equipment LoS is weighted for spotting trigger rate and routing, equipment LoS is much more important than ship girl LoS.
Range determines a ship girl's attack order during the first shelling phase and OASW.
- Range is fixed depending on ship girl and remodel.
- It can only be one of (in shelling order): Longest > Very Long > Long > Medium > Short > None.
- Unlike the other ranges, "Longest" does not have a proper in-game icon and so is just displayed as "Very Long".
- "None" range is mostly reserved for Abyssal Aircraft Carriers and Transport Ships.
- See Range for more information.
- It can only be increased using certain equipment. See Range Extension
Luck plays a role in many things. The most important role of luck is determining the trigger rate of special mechanics like:
- Night battle special attacks,
- Anti-air barrages,
- Special Attacks (Touches).
- Luck is fixed based on ship and remodel.
- It can be increased through special Modernization and Marriage.
Accuracy is not displayed on the ship girl information menu but it is a stat that is displayed on some equipment. It determines how likely a ship girl is to land her attacks.
- See Accuracy for details on how accuracy is calculated.
- Accuracy plays a part in determining the critical hit rate.
- The higher the accuracy, the higher the critical rate up to a certain point. Once a ship girl can cap accuracy against an enemy, additional accuracy is worthless.
"Night Battle Power" (Yasen) may be used informally sometimes, this stat being the addition of the and stats, used during night battles only.
Plane stats
Aircraft also have additional Stats:
- Some are only relevant for attacking or for Land-Based Air Squadron sorties/defense.
- Those stats are only seen when equipping aircraft.
- Please refer to the Aerial Combat and LBAS pages for more details on them.
Dive Bombing is used alongside the Torpedo stat for the Damage Calculations.
- This stat is only relevant when attacking surface ships.
Fighter Power shares its icon with the AA stat, as well as some behaviors.
- It is the major component of air-air Aerial Combat.
- It is also linked in part to the Interception stat in LBAS.
Combat radius indicates the range a given aircraft can reach from the LBAS of a given map during a sortie.
- It does not have a proper icon in the game.
- It can be increased when pairing aircraft with "Range Extenders".
Interception indicates the ability of a plane to intercept enemy aircraft during an "Air-Raid".
- The effectiveness of this stat will depend on the type of enemy intercepted, as well as the other Interceptors present in the LBAS.
In addition, planes will gain ranks called "Proficiency", improving their behaviors.
Ship Slots
Some ships have a different number of equipment slots than the rest of their type:

Stat Growth
Linear Growth
Evasion, ASW, and LoS follow a linear growth formula based on the minimum and maximum stats of the remodel. The minimum and maximum values can be found on individual ship girl pages.
[math]\displaystyle{ \text{Stat} = \text{minimum} + \text{level} \times \frac{\text{maximum} - \text{minimum}}{99} }[/math]
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{minimum} }[/math] is the minimum value of the stat in question.
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{maximum} }[/math]is the maximum value of the stat in question.
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{level} }[/math] is the current level of the ship girl.
Notes:
- This formula can be used to calculate the base stats of a remodel.
- Stats will follow the same linear growth past level 99. This means the displayed maximum value isn't the actual maximum.
Random Growth
Firepower, torpedo, anti-air, and armor do not appear to follow any growth formula. Gains are random on leveling up. This does not matter much because it is much faster to increase these stats through modernization.
Fixed Stats
HP and luck are fixed based on remodel. These stats can only be increased through modernization or once when marrying.

Status Conditions
Health
The status conditions are in part determined by HP:
Visual Indicator | Status | Effects |
---|---|---|
Not Damaged | Normal state, when a ship girl has more than 75% HP. Combat ability is "normal". | |
Lightly Damaged (小破) | Displays when a ship girl has lost 25% HP. She will say one of her minor damage lines. Combat ability is unaffected. | |
Moderately Damaged (中破) | Displayed when a ship girl has lost 50% HP. She will say her major damage line and her CG will change to the damaged version.
| |
Heavily Damaged (大破) | Displayed when a ship girl has lost 75% HP. She will say her major damaged line and her CG will change to the damaged version (if it hasn't changed yet).
| |
Sunk (撃沈) | Displayed when a ship girl loses all her HP. She will say her sinking line and be unable to continue to participate in sortie.
|
Morale Indicators
Ship girl banners will display Morale and Fatigue to help monitor their situation. This is a segment from a bigger article. See Morale and Fatigue for more details.
