Transport Operations are currently an Event Only Mechanic which has made an appearance since the Fall 2015 Event and currently have appeared in each event since then. The main goal of Transport Operations is to haul supplies to a particular location on the map which may be the main objective of serve as part of a main objective depending on the rules of the map.

About Transport Operation Maps

Example of an event map with a transport operation from Winter 2016.

When an admiral is assigned to perform a transport operation, they will be assigned use a certain set of kanmusus to partake in transporting supplies to a certain location on the map. The Transport drop off location is marked as a green node with a green flag on the map. The objective of the fleet will be to reach the drop off point and then successfully survive clear the boss node that will generally follow the transport drop off point. If the player is successful at beating the boss node with an A or S rank, they will be able to deplete the TP gauge. Once depleted, the transport operation will be complete.

Depending on the map, this will either be part of a phase of the map, or it will be considered complete once the transport operation is complete. If the objective is to only complete the transport operation you will not need to defeat the boss abyssal to complete the map, you will only need an A rank at a bare minimum if successfully depletes the TP gauge's bar.

These maps can either use a single fleet or a Transport Escort Combined Fleet.

For more information regarding combined fleets please view the Combined Fleet section.

Depleting the TP Gauge

When your fleet reaches the transport drop off point, you will receive a notice which shows how much transport equipment you brough with your fleet which will count toward you TP score. In this case, this fleet was equipped with 10 drum canisters and 1 daihatsu.

Depending on the map, what kind of access you have to your fleet, and the equipment you have, you can deplete the TP Gauge if you have manage to utilize your equipment properly.

For Transport Operations, you will need to bring transport equipment which can carry supplies to the drop off location. If your fleet reaches the drop off point, you will receive a notification of how many pieces of transport equipment your brought with your fleet which will count towards your TP score once you finish the map.

The following equipment will count towards your TP score for each one you have in your fleet once you successfully beat the boss node with an A or S rank.

Equipment S-Rank A-Rank
Daihatsu 8.0 5.6
Drum Canister 5.0 3.5
Battle Rations 1.0 0.7

In addition to the equipment, the type of ships you bring in your fleet can also have a role on how much will count towards your TP Score the score they get is dependent on if you score an A or S rank at the boss node. The following list will note the score that can be given depending on the ship:

Once you successfully deplete the TP Guage, the TP Gauge will explode before either the map is considered complete or moves on to the Boss Gauge.
Ship Type S-Rank A-Rank
Destroyer 5.0 3.5
Light Cruiser 2.0 1.2
Heavy Cruiser 0.0 0.0
Aviation Cruiser 4.0 2.8
Aviation Battleship 7.0 4.9
Seaplane Tender 9.0 6.3
Akitsumaru 12.0 8.4
Taigei 7.0 4.9
Training Cruiser 6.0 4.2
Hayasui 15.0 10.5

Together, these two factors are added based on the fleet and equipment you use and will contribute to the depletion of the TP Gauge and once the TP Gauge is depleted the screen on the menu will show the gauge exploding before either being considered complete or a boss gauge appears depending on the map.

Tips

  • When dealing with a single fleet that will participate in a transport operation, carefully plan out the amount of equipment and ships you can use for the map. It's often considered better to have a good balance of offensive equipment with transport equipment if you aim to S rank it.
  • In the event where a Transport-Escort Combine Fleet is used, it is commonly preferred to equip your destroyers in the transport fleet (Fleet One) with mainly drum canisters since they will have poor accuracy and won't do much damage. The Escort Fleet (Fleet 2) should be geared more for offensive combat.
  • If you choose to bring Abukuma Kai Ni, Kasumi Kai Ni, Satsuki Kai Ni, Hayasui Kai, Akitsushima Kai, Верный, and / or Akitsumaru Kai, then you may want to plan out bringing Daihatsu since they will count more toward the TP Gauge. Keep in mind however, that you may want to only bring who will be necessary in the event, these kanmusu may be needed for other sections of the event where they may become more useful (such as amphibious warfare, or routing).
  • If what the dev team have mentioned on twitter is correct, Daihatsu-class Landing Craft (Type 89 Medium Tanks & Marines) and Type 2 Ka-Mi Tanks will not count towards depleting the TP Gauge of transport operations since they are used for Amphibious Beach Landings.
